    K20 powered 172

I understand that. Obviously the bits in the kit will be pretty pricey, so I do see where the money goes. I just think that, when you factor that into buying the engine and gearbox, it does take away a little bit from the cost vs. benefit of the conversion. It will still be an epic car though.

    Ryan's Megane 250

If you don't want to deal with particular buyers, don't sell specialist cars 😂 I don't really see that blame needs to fall at anyone's fault at this stage. I can't blame someone for wanting to keep a car that they like and for it to be inspected and, if necessary, repaired (unless he is...

    Ryan's Megane 250

As above, hopefully it will get sorted, whether it's a repair or a refund, and it can all be dealt with amicably. That being said, I still think people need to chill out with having a go at the OP. I'm all for a bit of banter, but this seems a touch unnecessary.

    Ryan's Megane 250

I didn't realise that being thorough was a crime these days 😂 I wouldn't disagree with that overall, and Ktec have obviously agreed to have a look at the car, which is a good thing. I'm certainly not suggesting that they've done anything wrong, but I do think that the grief being dished out...

    Ryan's Megane 250

Why is it stupid to want the car fixed? If you've been searching for something in a particular spec, have put in the hours to find one, travelled to buy it, but then find an issue, I don't think it's unreasonable to want to keep the car you spent time looking for. Even if it is something common...

    K20 powered 172

Thanks chaps. Extra bonus if it's lighter then. The conversion kit is a bit more than I expected, but I bet it will be a great car to drive. The gearbox is probably the weakest part of the 1*2, so the Honda unit should feel lovely!

    K20 powered 172

How much is that conversion kit out of interest? Also, any idea on the total weight of the Honda engine/gearbox compared to the Clio bits?

Couple more today. The first black GR Yaris I've seen (looks really good in person) and a Meg Trophy:

    MK5 Clio

Seen a few of these around. They're a decent looking little car really. The orange colour is lovely too

Also @cjgower, you need to get a thread up on here about that 205!

    Sunglasses Ron’s Peugeot 107

I like these tbh. Probably about as close as you can get to a modern version of the original Mini. Good buy if you want something to smoke about in for pennies!

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

I do most of my stuff on Instagram, so don't really get any views on YouTube generally. Saying that, I did a video about the GR Yaris and that got nearly 1,000 views: My stuff is generally rally chit chat. Planning to do some bits with early cars, but covid keeps getting in the way...

Interesting that you stick to a script so much. I always wing it generally but, like you, usually wish I had said something else 😂

I don't have etis access to check anymore sadly. It's a bit rough around the edges but it looks like a real one in person.

Couple today... A 1.6 GTI languishing on a driveway. Was pretty green. Looks like it's been there a good while: GR Yaris in the Toyota storage near where my work vans are stored:

    That pink bagged baguette

Fair play for giving all that a go. I had virtually no fabrication experience before I started building my last Escort. It's such a great learning experience just cracking on and having a go. I mean, I'm still not very good at it, but I had fun all the same 🤣

WRC 2 Fiesta R5 testing @ Greystoke, Cumbria

I'm pleased for Gus, though I think there is going to be a bit of pressure on him to before this year. He gets a bit of stick, but I know someone that worked with him in the early days and rated him really highly. I can't help but feel a bit down about the whole M-Sport situation though. I...
