    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

It's the front wings that really ruin it for me. The lines around the vent thing behind the wheel are so badly resolved it's almost funny. Viewed directly from the rear is genuinely the only inoffensive way to look at it. There is so much wrong at the front and sides.

No it doesn't really. A mate has offered to sell it for me, but even that's a pain, as he doesn't have access to the paperwork!

Hyundai Veloster N. Quite liked it apart from the asymmetric door thing. Not as nice as the i30, but still quite cool. Surprisingly roomy inside too.

I'd probably go for a swap of some sort, but timing might be the issue :(

Wheels are for sale, but come with an RB197 attached

This thread makes me a bit sad now, as mine will be up for sale soon :(

I like the Fiesta, though think it would have looked better if the roof/spoiler was body colour. Cool little car though.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Lovely job that. Remember one of my Escorts had this treatment and it made such a difference. Can't believe how tiny the amp is!

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

That's fair enough but, if the new dash doesn't solve the issues, I'd be wanting that money right back from them, and I'd want it confirmed before you pay for it. Would be a proper PITA if you buy a new one and it goes wrong immediately!

Always liked the Calibra. Really good looking car at the time.

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

This. My old rally car had an SPA tacho/speedo in it. Worked really well and was nice and simple.

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

I wouldn't dismantle the car when you're so close, but I think I would be considering other dash options to be honest, as this has been a bit ridiculous to be honest.

    My ‘forgotten’ Clio 172 Cup

You can keep the Trophy, I'd take a good Cup over one all day long.

s1600 Pas pump running off camshaft

Yeah pretty standard stuff in that era. Bet the rack is mega money...

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Outwardly rolled exhausts are so cool.

s1600 Pas pump running off camshaft

Would that fit on the K4M or whatever engine these used? I'm surprised they didn't sack off the hydraulic system and go electric really. One less fluid to worry about.

I can't believe they were still making them in 1993. Mental.

    My New Volvo 240

I think these are a better looking car than the 740/940. A bit more character to them. I can imagine it's even worse to drive though, which probably isn't good lol. Is it just another quick flip like the last one?

    RS 220 to Megan’s 300 or AMG35?

Honda are launching a Sportline version of the Type-R, which doesn't look quite so mental as the regular one, so that might be worth considering. You'd have to buy new though obviously.

    RS 220 to Megan’s 300 or AMG35?

The problem for me is that I would vomit every time I stepped into the Merc. The interior is absolutely minging in my view. Current Mercs are far too blinging and tacky looking for my tastes. My missus had a previous gen CLA and it felt pretty cheap inside, especially the dash vents etc. Not...

I don't remember seeing a dog  He has some lovely stuff in his workshop too. Mondeo was my favourite though.

What springs with cup shocks ?

Standard Cup probably. Most aftermarket springs are too stiff for a road car and, if it's just an occasional track toy, you won't have any less fun in a standard car. Unless you particularly want it lower, I probably wouldn't bother with aftermarket stuff unless you only use it on decent roads.

    Volvo Project Fail

Don't see many of those anymore! Is he still using it commercially, or is it just a showpiece?
  26. massiveCoRbyn

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

Yeah. It was based around the Mazda V6 used in the Probe and MX-6 I think, as you could use any engine from the group at the time. Apparently it was completely reengineered though, and the heads were ridiculously heavily modified. That's what a £10m annual budget does for you though :ROFLMAO:

It doesn't. Wings are cheap lol

Yeah I know what you mean. I'd love a Japanese car from that era. I grew up worshipping the likes of Top Secret, Jun, Trial, HKS etc etc. The R34 was the ultimate incarnation of that era of the Japanese car scene. A shame that the cars are now quickly moving out of reach. This one was in...

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

Certainly nothing like the drive shaft going through the V of the engine like it did on the Prodrive-built Mondeo at the turn of the century  Or the Primera, where the steering column was basically horizontal, with a 90-degree joint to get down to the rack...

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

I think things started to go really mental from 1997. I took some photos of a Mondeo for a mag feature a couple of years ago and the engine was in a semi-sane position. Ride height was still mental though:
