Huge improvement from when you bought it, looks great!

    Matt’s Megane 265

Not rim tape, but 265 Trophy type wheels. They were optional on 265s. It's actually painted on before the wheels are done in black.

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

Sounds remarkably similar to what I did lol. I got such a great deal from MFactory that it made sense to go with their gear kit and their stuff seems quite well-regarded in the Honda scene. Sure the diff should work well. Got to be better than the open one. Even on a dry track, my 172 will spin...

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

Not heard of RSX I must say. Is it a helical, or a plate? Mine has a Quaife in it. Would like to go to a plate, but it's a big chunk of money really. Would rather spend it on driving the car. Gearing doesn't sound too bad. I'm sure @EVOgone ran a 5.25 in his pink Clio and rated it. Think mine...

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

It will provided it doesn't break down ? It used to get looks on the road when it was white, I think it might get a few more now! My Escort was just the same. You'd get into third and it felt like it had died. It was a pain in the arse, but managed to get a Focus 'box into mine, so I could get...

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

Yeah, mine too. The cars really were something special. You have? I'm touched lol. I don't have many followers. Need to put a bit more time into it really. I'm picking the yellow peril up on Saturday morning. Will be the first proper drive in it since it's been rebuild. The garage have done...

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

I hope so too, but it would make a big difference to me right now, so we'll see. Know what you mean though, I love that generation of cars. Would love any of them really. Look forward to seeing yours on the bodies. Will definitely be at the prom one way or another so will try and find you. The...

KAM Racing - go silly or dont bother project build

I love this build, but the OCD nutter in me would have to clean up all that metal work on the shell lol.

    MrBlonde's 172 cup

Ktec do know how to charge for bits like that. Chinese alloy pipe FTW lol.
  12. massiveCoRbyn

The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

I would expect a solid pipe to be louder to be honest. Would have thought the softer silicone (or rubber) would absorb some of it.

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

They do seem really good. As I am quite tall, it's hard to find seats with the shoulder strap holes in a sensible position, so nice to find an off-the-shelf seat that works. I know what you mean, it's probably not the best, but I have been servicing for a friend on it for the best part of ten...

    Rob's 220 Trophy

I like it! Ride height doesn't look too bad. A very slight drop would improve it, but it looks pretty good. Needs the big wing though :p

Why do most people rave about polybush dog bones?

I drove my Clio daily with Vibratechnics and a Powerflex black dogbone. BecauseHero. It was bloody awful in reality but, when I drive it now, I love how silly it feels.

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

I need to get my lamp pod repainted and finish the wiring actually. I was really impressed with the seats. I must have sat in pretty much every seat at the Autosport show in Jan and the HRX was 95% as comfortable as a custom-fit Motordrive, only it's about a quarter of the price lol. Yeah...

KAM Racing - go silly or dont bother project build

This is brilliant. I mean, it's also slightly ridiculous, but in a brilliant way. What kind of engine spec are you going for?
  18. massiveCoRbyn

    Clio 172 cup rally/race/track car

I do love a lamp pod. How do you find the HRX seats? I am waiting for a set for mine. Seemed really comfortable when I sat in one at Autosport. Hoping to do the prom myself but we'll see!

    200 EDC v Meg 250 cup better daily/track car

This thread is giving me withdrawal symptoms ? Was gutted I had to sell mine, but a tow car was required.

    MrBlonde's 172 cup

I had a Ramair filter do similar to that. Weird really. The one on the Clio has been on about three years and been fine, but the other split in a matter of weeks!

    200 EDC v Meg 250 cup better daily/track car

I suspect I am a little bit biased, but I can't see how anyone could look at these, and then think, "Yep, I'd rather have the Clio." ? 7042ACFD-35D0-4131-823A-659B6776F10D_zpsjywkywxh by Jon Scoltock, on Flickr C__Data_Users_DefApps_AppData_INTERNETEXPLORER_Temp_Saved...

    200 EDC v Meg 250 cup better daily/track car

I never took mine on track as I'm a pussy and couldn't afford to stuff it lol. So long as it has decent rubber and decent pads/fluid, I think it should be fine though. Definitely recommend a middle silencer delete though. Not really any louder than standard when driving normally but, when...

    Megane RS250 Cup

Looks double 'ard now, love it. God I miss mine :(
  26. massiveCoRbyn

    200 EDC v Meg 250 cup better daily/track car

Even after a few trips to the 'ring, it f**king staggers me how fast some of them go round there. The Megane is a real weapon with a few tweaks. Once lowered, they just look so right.
  27. massiveCoRbyn

    BTCC Laguna...

That is awful lol. The real deal is a work of art though. The engine is so low that, from about 10 feet away, it looks like it is missing. Stunning machines.

    200 EDC v Meg 250 cup better daily/track car

Having driven a Clio 200 and spent a year with a Golf R DSG, the 'box in the 200 leaves a lot to be desired in my view. I know it has it's fans but, in my experience, it certainly isn't the best out there.
  30. massiveCoRbyn

    200 EDC v Meg 250 cup better daily/track car

Clutch etc on the Megane is fine, perfectly acceptable for every day use. Only 'weak' point is the ride, as it's fairly stiff, but that's very subjective. Best bet is to try both for yourself and see which you prefer. They are both very good cars in reality, it just comes down to preference...
