Sounds remarkably similar to what I did lol. I got such a great deal from MFactory that it made sense to go with their gear kit and their stuff seems quite well-regarded in the Honda scene. Sure the diff should work well. Got to be better than the open one. Even on a dry track, my 172 will spin...
Not heard of RSX I must say. Is it a helical, or a plate? Mine has a Quaife in it. Would like to go to a plate, but it's a big chunk of money really. Would rather spend it on driving the car.
Gearing doesn't sound too bad. I'm sure @EVOgone ran a 5.25 in his pink Clio and rated it. Think mine...
It will provided it doesn't break down ? It used to get looks on the road when it was white, I think it might get a few more now!
My Escort was just the same. You'd get into third and it felt like it had died. It was a pain in the arse, but managed to get a Focus 'box into mine, so I could get...
Yeah, mine too. The cars really were something special. You have? I'm touched lol. I don't have many followers. Need to put a bit more time into it really. I'm picking the yellow peril up on Saturday morning. Will be the first proper drive in it since it's been rebuild. The garage have done...
I hope so too, but it would make a big difference to me right now, so we'll see. Know what you mean though, I love that generation of cars. Would love any of them really.
Look forward to seeing yours on the bodies. Will definitely be at the prom one way or another so will try and find you. The...
They do seem really good. As I am quite tall, it's hard to find seats with the shoulder strap holes in a sensible position, so nice to find an off-the-shelf seat that works.
I know what you mean, it's probably not the best, but I have been servicing for a friend on it for the best part of ten...
I drove my Clio daily with Vibratechnics and a Powerflex black dogbone. BecauseHero.
It was bloody awful in reality but, when I drive it now, I love how silly it feels.
I need to get my lamp pod repainted and finish the wiring actually.
I was really impressed with the seats. I must have sat in pretty much every seat at the Autosport show in Jan and the HRX was 95% as comfortable as a custom-fit Motordrive, only it's about a quarter of the price lol. Yeah...
I do love a lamp pod. How do you find the HRX seats? I am waiting for a set for mine. Seemed really comfortable when I sat in one at Autosport.
Hoping to do the prom myself but we'll see!
I had a Ramair filter do similar to that.
Weird really. The one on the Clio has been on about three years and been fine, but the other split in a matter of weeks!
I suspect I am a little bit biased, but I can't see how anyone could look at these, and then think, "Yep, I'd rather have the Clio." ?

I never took mine on track as I'm a pussy and couldn't afford to stuff it lol. So long as it has decent rubber and decent pads/fluid, I think it should be fine though.
Definitely recommend a middle silencer delete though. Not really any louder than standard when driving normally but, when...
Even after a few trips to the 'ring, it f**king staggers me how fast some of them go round there. The Megane is a real weapon with a few tweaks.
Once lowered, they just look so right.
That is awful lol.
The real deal is a work of art though. The engine is so low that, from about 10 feet away, it looks like it is missing. Stunning machines.
This should solve your problem and isn't very expensive: https://www.cliosport.net/threads/the-fattys-ktec-alternative-induction-setup-that-works-just-as-well.761531/page-38#post-11620352
Having driven a Clio 200 and spent a year with a Golf R DSG, the 'box in the 200 leaves a lot to be desired in my view. I know it has it's fans but, in my experience, it certainly isn't the best out there.
Clutch etc on the Megane is fine, perfectly acceptable for every day use. Only 'weak' point is the ride, as it's fairly stiff, but that's very subjective. Best bet is to try both for yourself and see which you prefer.
They are both very good cars in reality, it just comes down to preference...
