I need the bolt that connects the hub to the ball joint, i rounded both off when fitting new hubs so i stole them off my spare clio, but not i want the spare one working so i need to get them. Where is the best place to get them from?? do places such as autocare and euro sell the bolts on...

Thanks guy, and yes they are fake splits, but im student and cant justify spending so much on wheels, if i had the money.... Id just buy a ph1 172 but please can we not turn this into a debate between fake and real splits! Thanks once again

because they are rarely strcuturally sound after being rolled. once a cars been crashed once, everything weekens personally id only do this if there was at least a £500 saving to be made, if hes getting the parts cheap enough to make a sizable saving, then good on him.

if it genuinly saves money, (including the value youve put on your own time doing it) then id support it or even if it was a rare car being restored for a hobby, but its a clio DCI, that has a lot of damage, and has been rolled! seems like a waste of time and money imo

I dont doubt you skill at all, i doubt your sence. You havn't said how much you bought the car for yet?? despite being asked, so how much will the repairs cost?? perhaps around 1.5K for a half decent job including the painting. so you will have paid 1.5K + however much you bought the car...

im not sure if the distance between the plates on the shock are different though, i dont think you can machine them away because not only are the bolts further apart on the 58mm ones, the part that the shock bolts too is wider. can usually pick up hubs for around £20 each, but look hard...

If it's 52mm, cheapest way to get on coilovers is to get the rokkor set, and some new (58mm) hubs!

you need to run a bigger power cable than that!! youll need a multi meter to find out what wires what, usually, red is power, and goes to the battery, black is earth and goes to the isofix bar mounting bolt, and a blue (pink in your case by the looks of things) one that goes to the headunit...
