"imperfections in the bodywork" iow....All the filler has cracked! and the paint job isn't very good. id find out exactly what all the minor imperfections are before going much further

Is the steering rack the same in the 1.2 ph1, and ph1 172, and even ph2 172?? will a ph2 1*2 steering boss fit a ph1 172?? thanks guys

the full beam light shouldnt be on when the main beam is on, however the side light will illuminate it slightly. And when the full beam light (the inside one) is on, the dipped beam should go out!

jack the car up, take the wheel off, its the distance between the two bolt holes at the bottom of the shock (this picture is upside down, so the bolts at the top!) when assembled it will looks something like this! you can see where it is bolted to the hub, measure the distance...

its not an accoustic valve, its the feul purge system, it vents fumes from the petrol tank into the inlet manifold, i just cut the pipe in half, folded it over and taped it.
