After spending so much money on it I just want it to feel tight and precise. Is that too much to ask??? :disrelieved:😂😂😂

    Power flex Bush split

Lol, just seen it was missing the other part of the insert. Doubt powerflex will replace, only quickly glanced that day

I'm running KTR solid top mounts. I did need to tap down the top hat onto the bilstein as the ID was slightly too small it seemed (or OD on the bilstein). I could see where washers would sit underneath but i've had no problems up until recently. Everything else is still tight on top unless...

Just recently its happened. Didn't happen when the bilsteins went on and had no knocks from top mounts without spacers. Just suddenly started.

Tell me about it. Kind of sounds like the manifold banging but I've pulled then engine forwards the most it can go. Very frustrating.

    BG 182

I've had it down to the mounts again and pulled the engine forward before retorquing it all again. It's got solid top mounts with new bilsteins. These were still tight on check. All new wishbone bushes, had a balljoint either side last year and they still feel fine. New hubs fitted with new...

Cheers Paul. Still got a really annoying knock coming from the front end and I have no idea what is is. On the motorway just now there were a lot of vibrations through the wheel. Need to investigate

Degreased the grill and lightly sanded it back with some wet and dry then gave it a spray with some grey primer. Then using some hycote satin black it got a further 4 coats then refitted onto the car. Looks miles better now being full black rather than the grey blue it was before. Not...

    Jekyll's RB182 Progress Thread

It won't as it recognises it as still being there. Safer and easier option over resistors

    Cruise control resistors

Yeah, so I'm using resistors 100ohm, 274ohm (2 in series to make 274) and 910ohm. I checked them all before wiring up but will try again. Do I not need to introduce a voltage to the system to read a resistance when the button is pressed? And not one button works. I'm right in thinking even...

    Cruise control resistors

So I connected it up today and it doesn't work. What have I done wrong? Wired it up like this

Where to get Alignment done - Derby

Yeah I know. More the fact they did it, showed me the readout and it was fine. Drove the car and it steered badly left. Took it back, looked fine, did the same thing again. Just hassle more than anything

Where to get Alignment done - Derby

Where at? I paid similar the first time and they fucked it up

oil change didn’t go as planned

I used the same tool above, didn't remove anything and the filter came off fine. Went on easy enough by hand.

    Bilstein B14 best setup

Had mine on for around 600 miles after fitting and had toe tweaked as wheel wasn't straight and the bolts hadn't moved

    Bilstein B14 best setup

I'd use them anyway. Not sure what sort of camber you can get on the oval, I just have both in

    Is this a 172 ph1 grill sticker, or a sticker for a 182?

Just to bump this thread, are these grill stickers available from anywhere?

So the steering feels loads better with the new 330mm wheel but it definitely feels slightly heavier. Is this normal or have I done something wrong?

    Sparco horn wiring

Thanks for the pictures mate. The sparco one looks identical. I pulled out that spring clip and cut it short then slid it back inside. Was going to pull it all out completely but decided against it as not sure whether it's connected internally... Not tried it yet but see no reason why it would...

    BG 182

Not that bad really ;) don't know whether to prime it or not? I only have normal grey primer but just hycote satin black. Also do I remove all the stickers or just mask them off? Decisions decisions

Gave the car a full service today - Engine oil, Gearbox oil, Oil filter, Pollen filter, New washers all round. Engine oil was black despite only being done around a year ago (about 8k miles) so glad I changed that. Gearbox was still crystal clear but it got changed anyway. Then gave...

    Sparco horn wiring

Can you wire both up? As I don't like the hole in the wheel

    Sparco horn wiring

So i've read a number of different things about connecting the horn up and people having problems with burning/melting cables. I really do not want this to happen. In an older thread someone recommended chopping off the little spring clip on the back of the horn so that it wasn't earthing to...

    BG 182

Had a knocking coming from my front end so I went over all the engine and gearbox mounts and retorqued them and loctited them as I believe it was the manifold banging on the subframe. I also managed to get this fitted! I have cruise control bracket to finish wiring up and also some airbag...
