ARGH im so F'ing annoyed,
i hate painting, with a passion,
paintwork on the front bumper was all done,
laquered and ready
but i failed on the last hurdle,
taking off the masking,
for some reason, the primer didnt stick properly to the bumper,
does this mean all the rest is going to...
tbh, i think you deserved you first clio to be written off,
lending it to sum1 who clearly cant drive for s**t, and letting them drive without insurance is just plain irresponsible
i wont even get my other half insured on my clio, let alone let her drive it!
where do you get your money from...
the towerbrace??
the strutbrace isnt in the way anymore,
oe bonnet arms??
and its always used standard bonnet arms, just used raisers that have long since gone
i said, the bonnet raisers helped the bonnet clear the strut brace,
for some reason i didnt think to adjust the strut brace lower,
basically they were a stupid solution to a simple problem
long bar,
put it in gear and get sum1 to put theyre foot on the brake if you end up turning the engine over lol,
valves are easy to check,
just put the valve to the sealed position, and pour a thin liquid (i used white spirit) into the inlet or exhaust (witchever valve your testing) if it...
i noticed you started taking it apart,
have you taken a look at the valves yet?
my cambelt snapped doing 40,
only bent 4 valves, pistons were all fine,
so id defs say have a look first, may be cheap to fix,
sorry to go on,
but has the garage accually taken the egine apart??
im guessing the quote is for the cambelt??
(im bored and nosey yes)
if so, its worth having a look before writing the engine off,
i fixed my clio when the cambelt snapped for 350
you would have to tell the DVLA, and get a new logbook,
and declair it on the insurance,
what part of your engines dead??
most comon engine to put in a mk1 is a valver,
but this is ALOT of work, engine, loom, gearbox, ecu,
everything
and tbh, unless the shell is in mint condition, or you have...
ye i want rid of my 17s now
well my cars going through a de-chavment overhault atm,
so no pictures atm,
id go for the ktr springs,
depends, how low you want if to go,
if you want low low, then get the KTR springs,
just get a set of ph2 lights mate,
think some colourcoding and clear repeaters are in order,
also, its the arch gap that makes a car look low alot of the time,
so 16's on 35mm drop, will look lower than 15 on a 35mm drop,
but will accually be higher,
it depends what you want from lowering,
car...
hahah oit,
no thats coming off,
got a 172 bumper on its way, try and get a nice subtle exhaust to go with that,
as for the bonnet raisers,
for some idiotic reason, i didnt adjust the strut brace properly, so it sat up higher than the bonnet, and it didnt close properly,
bonnet raisers were a...
Right,

so ive decieded after going to my first cliosport meet,
that i officially drive a chav mobile,
so something must be done, as times and tastes change,
ive decieded to de-chav my ph1, and so the project de-chav begins!!!
i know most people on CS arnt fans of non...
ouch
btw, every uploaded picture is the same :S
sorry to hear this, proper low, attacking an inanimate object!
you gna claim this off your insurance??
might even be a writeoff dependin how old it is
