Well had my first day at my new work today, thought i'd drive down as raining and wanted to be in time... wish i didn't now!
Got a call from my mum whilst at work letting me know the police had contacted her and that my car had been broken into. They stole my ipod touch 4g but thankfully left...
Oh wow I'm jealous! It was barely on ebay any time at all. Trying to find a decent rb but will have to get saving. This one was too far away, look forward to seeing what you do with it
I might be free on the sunday, see if i'm working or not. Might just tag along with @dann2707 or he'll tag along with me if his clio doesn't pass mot 🙈:kissingheart:
Some nice roads near digley just out of huddersfield which isn't too far from the sculpture park? Nice pictures next to...
Car's looking sweet! The turinis do look mint, was the dephaser OK after a diy job? And also use proplates.co.uk for 520x85 number plates. Have to email them to ask for one but they're about £10-15 cheaper than fancyplates for small front and standard rear.
It's just the condensation forming underneath. I can guarantee if you do a long trip and look under your cap there will be no oil. You'd also have mayo in your coolant if your hg was fucked.
I doubt your HG is actually gone. As they're plastic covers on the engines you get this build up of mayo under your oil cap if only using the car for short journeys. I'm sure it'll be fine, but you may have a coolant leak somewhere else (typically off the thermostat housing I believe)
Buy a bluetooth reader for your phone. Plenty of threads on here about them and about 5 quid on ebay. Great item and just work with torque on your phone.
I'd say it was more than 1mm tbh, as it's literally scrubbing on the rear bumper under the arch. Such a ball ache after a long day replacing everything else haha
I would probably have gotten slagged off if I asked whether it was worth me declaring mods on here, so it could've gone either way!
I'll give them another ring tomorrow in regards to replacing "like for like" with standard clio parts and see how they go about it. If in doubt, play dumb.
Sounds like a good idea. When I did speak to them yesterday all I said was I was just enquiring as to how much modifications would actually cost me to insure. I then went on to ask how much it would be for a rear clio sport bumper to be fitted would be and after being put on hold was told...
To a certain extent this is fairly true as the PO had scraped both front and rear bumpers on walls... So was my main inclination to actually repping it as I may aswell buy nicer looking parts if i'm having to spend money anyway.
They wouldn't insure me on the whole bodykit at all. I was actually looking to build a complete replica as I already have drivers wing, front bumper, rear bumper. Just need passenger wing and both skirts... It's only cost me about £10 for all these parts so far.
I just dont want to get fucked...
I recently picked up a rear sport bumper for my 1.2 and had been hoping to get this fitted today. Rang up my insurers as I had to change my overnight address anyway and asked them how much it would cost me additionally for the rear bumper. It's basically identical to the 1.2 one and is literally...
Looks mint buddy! Although yeah lose that front sticker. Was it done on rs tuner for that map I presume?
And the company is proplates.co.uk. Email them asking for 520 x 85 plate. Can't remember what the smaller plate on its own cost but for a standard rear and smaller front it was 23 posted for me.
I know this isn't a scenic forum but know a lot of you know your stuff!
Basically my brother has a scenic and it wouldn't start on key recently. Playing with the loom under the rear seats seemed to sort out that ignition trouble and it now starts. It had a new battery after the last one died...
It suprises me really as when you actually look at it next to another car it's not even noticeable! The 3/4 plates (short sided) are more obvious though than these.
