Cheers Rich, looks like using that next time then. I'll give it til the end of September till I do it again.
Whats the best thing to do? Remove any remaining wax with clay???? Then SONUS paint cleanser and re-apply wax? I shouldnt need to machine polish again should I. Though I want to have...
I hope coolchris555k reads this then!!!!
I topped mine with Victoria Concourse. First weekend by hand [too much product making it difficult to remove], second weekend by foam applicator [a breeze:approve:]
Is there any mileage in using the SONUS paintwork cleanser after the Menz IP and FF and...
Good seeing you again coolchris555k.
Get that sonus green clay out on yr car mate. It will make a world of difference.
Trust me, used properly [gently] with plenty of lube, it wont scratch. Then with the products you've got, SRP, then EGP and if you want to use it whack yr Megs NXT wax...
I have BP POIs for TomTom too!! Oh and latest speed camera locations......and I've just bought the new maps for GB and europe.:approve:
Bp Ultimate was rated better than v-power in a recent EVO test. Even though its lower ron [97 v 99].
Mid range torque is apparently as good as the BP 102...
aceface makes a good recommendation with the Menzerna products.
With the pc I went from first two defect pics [badly swirled] to following three pics [no swirls!] just using the Final Finish polish [mild]
:D
How do you find the Collinite for buffing off Brun?
I'm using Victoria Concourse wax at moment and find its a b4stard! Maybe i'm applying too much [by hand, not applicator] Leaves a great finish, just hard to remove with the mf.
If i use a spray of QD i just seem to chase it round and...
Cheers Rich,
I wish I'd done IP on a white pad to start. The boot and roof worked much faster than the bonnet. All part of the learning process i suppose.
Got my new PC a couple of weeks ago from 182_Blue. [Nice birthday present from the missus:approve:]
Bought the 100v plug/transformer/extension etc and started with it last weekend. Had a bit more time on it this weekend.
As you can see on first two pics, the bonnet was quite badly swirled...
This is a great help fellas.:D
So I'm going for;
Acronis True Image
Western Digital Mybook External USB drive [80 or 120gb]
Its as a complete backup for my laptop. Baby's first steps on it etc etc, i can't risk losing it all for the sake of getting my ar5e into gear and making a carbon copy...
Mark
I just bought some from Tim at cleanyourcar.co.uk
£17.95 + £2.95 i think. Then again my bill came to £70 inc wax and menzerna stuff for the new pc.;)
Cut 1:1 with filtered water as a quick detailer.

I'm reasonably ok on computers but when it comes to things away from the mainstream I'd rather ask for help.
I want to buy a usb hard drive and make a full copy of my harddrive.
Is there a [preferably free] program I can use which would allow me to have windows etc and everything else on my...
^^^ Yup.
I had a Momo Race Air Leather/Aluminium. Quality feel to it. Loads better than the standard Honda Type R one.
Must admit since Ive had the 172, I like the standard knob.
Oo-er.:o
When mine are on Auto, one click of the lights switch turns the xenons off and sidelights on. Then you can put the front fogs on.
Alternatively a further flick of the switch means you can have xenons on and front fogs.:D
If you replaced yr OEM exhaust with a 'freeflow' stainless like mine, I seemed to lose loads of low down grunt. And it sounded really farty at low revs.
The re-map made this MUCH better. RS Tuning [leeds] did it for me.
Mid range torque was very noticably improved.
And by the way, the 7650...
I washed my car just before I took it for its service at Renault, and I specifically said FFS dont bother cleaning it!.....
.....suffice to say when I picked it up it had been "cleaned". Christ knows why.
By the looks of it with a brillo pad and some water and silt dredged from the...
At moment I'm getting quite used to BP Ultimate!
After reading the EVO fuel reviews, in which BP Ultimate 102 came 1st, BP Ultimate97 came second, then i think it was Tesco 99 and then V-power in 4th place.
The report is quite right in saying the BP gives a good surge of mid range...
