Not sure if it's worth the extra dosh yet .Looks wise i can't fault it .A tiny amount goes a long way .I used it on the scuttle panel , front splitter , fog surrounds , wing mirror surrounds and the back bumper insert and the bottle still looks unused .
I'm guessing a bottle will last a long...
^^^ I have to agree . The guys basically driving around with no insurance . Lol , at the drive REALLY carefull comment .
Just hope he doesn't have an accident or hit somebody else
I've just used mine for the first time today . What can i say , it looks black , lol .I doubt the car will be getting another wash for a couple of weeks so i'll see how long it lasts . Tbh the finish doesn't look any different to the CG trim gel or WD40 which i think is the best stuff i've used...
My mate has it in his astra , was done at Vauxhall though not aftermarket . He runs 99% of the time on lpg , it switches over from petrol automatically after about 2 mins .
You could try nitromors . But tbh the paint comes off very easily with wet and dry . You won't need to remove all the paint , just the loose paint . Leave the good paint and just rough it up a little with some 800 grit wet and dry to give it a good key .
Just make sure the wheels are clean ...
You'll obvisously have to remove any loose paint first . Use some 320 grit wet and dry .
Heres how i did mine . But mine was badly scratched so needed some filler as well . If you do a search there are a few other people who have done theirs so you'll get a few ideas .
Yep , thats alot better ;) But then again i am comparing the original contis on my old 172 , which aren't a bad tyre imo to the exaltos on my 182 which are a better tyre , again imo :)
Everybody has their own opnions on tyre size and make , what suits them the best . If stevieg has 182 alloys...
Its brake fluid not oil . I disagree about not bleeding the brakes . While your changing the dics and pads you might as well change the fluid as well . Get 2 litres of DOT 4 , it's alot more than you will need but it's always better to have more than enough than too little .
You don't need a...
My 182 corners hell of alot better than my 172 ever did . You can't just say that a 195 corners better than a 205 . There's alot more factors involved , like how good the tyre actually is , the compound .Also the suspension on the car . As for aquaplaning , i've never had any more problems with...
My 172 failed its second MOT around 48k on brake imbalance . One of the calipers wasn't pulling as it should . A bit of grease on the pistion and bobs your uncle , it passed :)
Cheapest you'll probably find is mytyres.co.uk . I've never found anyone local to me who could come anywhere close to their prices . And when i say local i mean from Darwen and the surrounding area even as far as Manchester .
£165.40 for 2 delivered at the moment . Then get a local tyre place...
Never heard of em . But you can get 4 delivered from here for £152.00

Edit : I'd stick with the pe2's as well tbh .
It might not be as bad as it sounds . Being plastic alot of it might be purely cosmetic damage .
I pranged my 172 into a motorway barrier at 50mph , new bumper , headlight , wing etc .... £2500 of damage all sorted on the insurance .No suspension damage :)
Maybe get in touch with the guy who sprayed them . He might have some paint left and spray your centre caps cheap or free ;)
You've nothing to lose by giving him a bell .
Tbh mate . Without spraying the centre cap you'll always struggle to get a perfect match . Plus with it being a silvery colour it shows more as one is plastic and one is metal . A bit like on iceberg 172's , the front wings look a different shade to the doors from certain angles .
Are you obsessed with the 182 havin' no spare wheel Dicky , lol .
Like mattjk says , boot , right hand side all stored away in a nice little leatherette pouch . Tyre foam under the passenger seat on mine in a tray .
Its basically the same car mate . 10bhp makes no difference whatsover . I've had a 172ff and now have a 182 ff . I prefer the looks of the 182 , twin exhaust and anthracite alloys . Plus imo the 182 with cup packs handles slightly better, slightly stiffer lower springs , slightly wider track and...
^^^ I agree . There's no way you can call it crap . If you only wax your car every couple of months then don't expect great durability . If you want something that lasts a long time then go for Collinite , thats if you can call it a wax . I doubt it actually contains any carnauba tbh .
Each...
I have both Collinite 476 and 845 insulator wax . I prefer the 845 to the 476 . Its probably the easiest wax to apply / remove and it lasts just as long as the 476 .
Its a very good wax for the price . You can pay alot more for waxes that aren't any more durable or give any better looks imo . Other people will probably have different views as some people seem to think you have to spend a fortune on a wax for it to be any good .
Get yourself a pot , you...
