If you have a local nokia shop , just take it there . They will update the firmware for free . At least if somethin fcuks up they'll have to sort it :)
Why are you taking the paint off ? Here's one i refurbed .
I cleaned the wheel with AG engine and machine cleaner then dried it . Filled all the deep scratches with Upol D Metallic Filler , left overnight to harden sanded it down with 320 grit wet and dry . This also gives the primer a good...
The white dots could be because your in a hard water area . Use a waffle weave towel . I also use an autoglym aqua blade to remove the majority of water . Chamois leathers are crap tbh , you've more chance of causing a streaky finish using one ...
^^^ The man talks sense .
If you take it to a dealer prepare to have your heart broken . Sell it private and you'll get more . I sold my import 172 for the same price as similar age , mileage etc .... 172's on Autotrader . As long as you have an alarm and locking wheel nuts you should get the...
The offset is where the wheel sits inside the arch . The lower the number the further out the wheel sits on the hub . On the 182 it has a slightly wider track than say the 172 cup , so the wheel has to sit further inside the wheel arch so it doesn't rub on the outside of the arch .
It happened on both sides on my 172 , so when i bought my new 182 , as soon as i got it home i put some 10mm cable ties over the clips for extra strength . Touch wood 18 months later they are still doing their job .
It might not be your clips , if it is you'll notice grease from the cv joint...
If its streaking down your panels you've put too much on . It needs to be buffed off afterwards . Thats one of the reasons i use WD40 on a cloth . No streaking ;)
Its good stuff . So is the chemical guys trim gel . I find WD40 is just as good and lasts just as long though , especially if you have alot of white marks . None of the above products actually remove the white marks ,they just mask it for a while .
I'd go with the fuel filter theory , especially if the car was running fine before you got your petrol down to almost empty . They only cost around a tenner , 10 mins of a job to do .
You don't need any special paint to paint the engine cover , and the lacquer will be fine .
Monkey beast 182 is referring to painting the " engine " not the engine cover .
^^^ Try it with the key in the ignition turned to postion one with your engine turned off . Then turn the sidelights on/off/on/off . If you have auto lights you'll hear a beep .
