Putting on P plates when it's not compulsory says to me that they've just passed their test but don't feel confident enough to drive solo in which case they shouldn't be on the road in the first place .
When i was talking to one of the guys at Powerflow he had a Corsa with a Calibra engine in . He said he needed an engineers report stating what had been done and what power it was producing . Something to do with if it had more than double the power of the original car then the insurance shot up...
Yeah they should be long enough . The ones in the second link , you'll probably have to cut down slightly . It'll also depend on what application your using the bends for . i.e. OEM filter housing or induction kit . I use mine with a green air filter .
Can't remember the exact size , but its quite small . The 2 holes going into the Ph2 172 airbox measure 68mm and 60mm x 80mm oval ( 70mm) . The air feeds are alot smaller than this though , espcially the one that goes underneath the airbox . Its something in the region of 50mm ID .
Of course it sucks . Thats why if you have an IK fitted you hear a loud roar when you press the accelerator pedal . Put your hand over the throttle body while the accelerator pedal is pressed . You'll feel it suck .
You mean the air feed wasn't going to the original position down towards the wheel arch ? We are talking Clio's here ?? If he didnt have the air feed going anywhere he was most likely sucking in hot air from the engine bay .
Like i said before . There's a huge restriction inbetween the CAF /...
^^^ You've seen it happen ? Then it must be right and i am wrong ;) How did you actually see it happen ? Have you any hard evidence , facts and figures etc.... or do you have a mate who's induction kit now sounds slightly louder so if it's louder it must be producing more power :quiet:
You've...
The fact is you can't force air in . The engine sucks the air in , it can only take in as much as the size of the throttle body will allow . Even if your driving at 60mph , the air forced up the cold air feed hits a huge restriction , the air filter itself , so any pressure is lost . It's a...
Is it doing it when the engines not been warmed up ? Cos they all hesitate until its properly warmed up .
I had a similar hesitation but mine was between 2 and 3k revs . It was the spark plugs . Changed them and it was good as new .
When i painted a set of calipers , i cleaned them first with some wire brushes that fit in a drill . They came up really shiny and polished but still a rough texture . Tbh i wouldn't leave them that way as they'll soon become black and tarnished with the brake dust and heat i would imagine .
Imo you won't see any gains having the cold air feed in the grill or foglight . Just run it down towards the wheel arch as per the original air feed . The engine sucks air , it's not forced so it will suck enough cold air from the wheel arch .If you go through very deep water and the air feed is...
The build qualitys not brilliant , granted . If you can live with the odd rattle , lol . As for power , the 1*2's aren't that bad if you keep it in the power band . Learn to love 2nd and 3rd gear ;) . I suppose they aren't everyones cup of tea , but for the price you pay you get alot for your...
You won't get nowhere near what you might think it's worth tbh mate imo . The majority of people would want a real 182 . As to the remap , exhaust and air filter giving over 200bhp i very much doubt that , knock off about 15bhp and you might be nearer the mark ;)
Good luck with the sale though .
