Coming from an automatic 1.6 Corolla, my first RenaultSport Clio felt like a rocket ship and went round corners like it was on rails.
3 years later, coming from a 300+HP impreza, my second RenaultSport Clio felt like a milkfloat.
It didn't move at all when you accelerated at any speed and went...
Personally ? I'd just leave it. If he's paying for it - get a quote for a proper job and go from there.
De-dent bod might be able to do something cheaper ? @Hans. what do you think to this ?
Paint .. might be a cheap bodge job with half a ton of filler or might be more than the value of...

Battery off.
Undo the torx bolts on the back of the standard wheel to get the airbag off.
T50 (60?) to get the centre bolt undone.
Pull. Careful. Don't smash your face with the wheel...
Put boss on. Do up with T50/60.
Attach horn connectors. CAREFUL ! Make sure you don't short...
Changed the head ?!?
Or the inlet .. The very upper most part with RenaultSport on it ?
You've got an air leak. Take it off and make sure it's on properly when it goes back on.
Check when engine is cold.
Pull dipstick out.
Wipe with cloth.
Insert.. Count to 3.. Pull out and take a photo and upload here..
I'd bet it's fine, you're just reading it wrong.

Anyway. I'd bet someone's fiddled with the power wires - for some after market models you have to swap the permanent live and ignition live over - I'd bet you a shiny penny that they're the wrong way round, hence every time you turn the ignition off, what it sees as...

Absolutely pointless. I've left cars sat for months without touching them. Aside from needing a jump, they start just fine.
There is absolutely no reason to sit idling engines. Infact it's about the worst thing you can do especially when it's cold.
