If you bought the console from Argos, and it came with the controller which is faulty .. take it back to Argos. Simple as that. They should swap the controller or maybe even the whole package.

On a clean dry car - perhaps.. However, as my Dad or 'Joe Public' would use - on a gritty mess of a dirty car .. I'm sure you're better off just leaving it alone, or cleaning it with dishwasher salt.
