I think the main reason for LED is the thinness of them. But modern Plasma's are a lot thinner than they used to be. Mine is only 50mm thick for example. A lot of manufactures have given up with plasma and I suspect it's largely down to marketing but the few still doing them keep making them...
As with many things I'd say the success is as much down to good advertisement as to how good it is.
Android can be just as easy to use. For example you press internet on the screen and the internet pops up! Drag a folder of music across from the computer to Android and its all there.... The...
I struggle to see how anyone with half a brain would struggle with current Android phones tbh. You turn it on and have a selection of scenes that put a basic half decent layout for everything. Then away you go very much like an iphone only better...;).
Your parents are indirectly paying for yours too, on the basis that your still living with them and paying far less bills/rent/mortgage than if you were on your own place....!
You'll get 5.1 on any channel!
But it will only be in form of prologic rather than dolby digital. For digital you would need to use a hdmi to the telly. Or optical/coax directly from the V+ box to amp.
Lol, you could say just the same about windows mobile devices pioneering the large touch screens and bringing them to the market. They were the 1st to bring relatively decent internet browsing to phones and things like GPS...
Apple just moved the game up a notch and that is all.
No one is denying that they haven't done well but your making out like apple invented the "smartphone" which they very much didn't! They just improved on it much like the android platform is also doing now yet you keep saying they're just emulating the iphone....
I had my MDA compact well before that which was primarily based on the use of the touch screen without the need to use buttons lol. In the business world they were successfully marketed. The only trick they missed was marketing it at the masses.
Yeah have mine optical from tv to a denon av amp and tannoy 5.1 surround and ot sounds great. Paid just over 600 from dixons with cash back via quidco.
Yes, had it for about 2 months now and well happy with it. Everyone over on AVFORUM seem to think its the bargain tv of the year and I have to agree. Does everything well!
Quick scrape or warm water if bad and off I go. Used water for years without damage... Don't know how any can drive normally and stay below 3000rpm for 15-20 min unless they live in a very flat area.
What about the LG pk350, 50" plasma? It's the slightly cheaper version of mine and has a stunning picture. Can be got for around 500 and is only 5cm thick!
Are you just wanting LED as its thin? If its not going on a wall then thickness makes little difference. You will pay over the odds for most LED over other tech.
Chavs, boyracer, Essex boy types have always driven fast fords like the FRS. You can hardly say everyone has them as i'm sure they didn't sell all that many. I would have to drive one to make my mind up but in the main it depends how deep your pockets are and how much your prepared to empty them...
