As for "the best" exhaust systems for the 172/182
Orbisound
BTB
Yozzasport (hand made by another company)
Prospeed (hand made like your systems)
Magnex
Janspeed
GDI (hand made by another company)
Its Gray by the way hahaha
The flanges are all in line where the cat meets the exhaust system, i can never remember which is the longer of the two cats. I know the difference is only minimal, i would say no more than 2"?
As for which is the most common, personally i would say the PH-2's but...
I am in the same position as you, i dont want to be spening a silly amount..
I know the Leda kit is about £1200 new, but if i could manage to get a REALLY REALLY REALLY good price then who knows.. i may even look into setting a group buy up?
But i havent even spoken properly to the guy yet :o
How much are you wanting to spend on the suspension set-up?
I am tempted to give my friend at Leda a ring... just too see what kinda prices he could do?
But its gonna be atleast 8weeks until i think about ordering, just trying to get a rough price for everything together haha
TBH the telescpoic connection is a poor deisgn... If every system is hand made by Fin he can account for the difference between PH-1 and PH-2 lengths.
As for clio 172's with a 182 manifold fitted you would need a link pipe made, as the manifold doesnt line up exactly with the 172 exhaust...
right then...
Clio 172 all run a 4-1 exhaust maniold
Clio 172 PH-1 has a twin cat with one lamba sensor (shorter than PH-2)
Clio 172 PH-2 single box cat with two lamba sensors (longer that PH-1)
The cat and down pipe are one piece on the 172
Clio 182, revised exhaust manifold...
Just to let you know Fin...
The clio 172 has 2 varients on the exhaust systems. There is a PH-1 and a PH-2 they have different length cats.
Most companies have over come this problem with a telescopic connecting pipe.
HC for perforamnce
MAX for looks
Thats what my friend was told the other day when buying a good track-based braking set up.. the bloke at Demon tweeks said i wont sell you the Brembo max discs because they arnt as good LOL!
PH-1 and PH-2 have the same exhaust systems.. just a slightly different length where connecting to the cat.
You should be ok regarding the baffles, only a very rare thing to happen
Looking good dude, Ben's car looks foooooooooooking awesome in real life!!
Cant belive how much the weather changed from in the morning... every session got better/dryer, they should of added a couple more sessions at the end LOL!
Simple answer... YES
You wll gain more low down torque, do a search for "182 manifold" its been discussed many times!
But if your after a 182 manifold, it just so happens i have one in my garage ;)
I need to get mine done..
Last year took it to ETS in Derby, at first they tried to set it as a 1.2/1.4 clio!!
After me telling them 3 times it was a 2L, came up at F4R on their system.
But it still wasnt right, my steering wheel sits just past 11 o'clock when going in a straight line?
