    RB Vrs Titanium

They so should have kept with iceberg on the 182. By far one of the best silvers on the road.

    V6 v 1*2 ..?

PMSL I remember on one of the 1st Hyundai coupe adds (the really ugly one!) they said "in a survey 9 out of 10 people preferred the look of it over a Ferrari" Think you must be thinking of the same muppets lol.

    V6 v 1*2 ..?

I was refering to planetx's post about the 30k options! t**t minght be a bit harsh but as I said not every one likes to drive round in a full on posers car, which the V6 is.

    V6 v 1*2 ..?

Plenty of cars you could get for under 30k that would put just as big a smile on my face. You have to remember not everyone likes to be a posing t**t tbh.

    7k revs

Mine pulls well all the way to the limiter in 4th, never tried it in 5th. Sounds nice to me too. It's what they're made for.

Cambelt help, where do I go??

I know a place that will do it for around £270 (including tha Aux belt) in Huddersfield if thats any help? Did a good job on mine. Can't see him not doing the Aux belt though when its only about £10-15. Don't think he would let you take the chance!

    V6 v 1*2 ..?

I'm not knocking the V6 but to say it would leave a 1*2 for dead is just a stupid thing to say lol. Some people have very strange ideas of what leaving for dead are:rolleyes:.

    Picked up the 172

I'm sure I remember reading that you have to tighten the seat bolts from underneath the car. I might be wrong though!

    End Of An Era

    Is traction control actually needed?

Your forgetting that 1/2 CS are pro racing drivers though:rolleyes: I think a few people are mistaking TC for ESP on this thread. I leave mine on and I can't say it ever comes on much. You would have to drive like a bit of a dick for it to be coming on all the time on the roads.

Yorkshire LadyBower / Peak District Meet 12/04/2009 Pictures

Aren't the wheels new as well? :( Wasn't a bad turnout I enjoyed it. It was a shame snake pass was a bit to busy (but to be expected!) I got a good run back on the strines though:). Only came across 2 cars.

    clio 172 advise mpg etc

Reset the trip computer and see how it goes then. If its the same then there is something wrong with the car or your driving style;)

    clio 172 advise mpg etc

I do around 4 miles each way to work and I would say you will normally get around 30-33mpg. I can get 35-37 but really have to think about it. 30-33 is what you should realistically expect imo. But bear in mind my dads 406 hdi returns 32-35 doing a very similar journey so its not bad by any means.

Running costs and stuff to look for on Clio 172's (both phase 1 and 2)

The clutch bite point is high on all the 1*2's.

    Less MPG using V-Power?

Remember you might have been going into the wind or more uphill on the way! As others have said it takes a few tanks full to notice the difference (if there is any lol).

    Less MPG using V-Power?

I could have, but I get bored after while and nail it a bit:)

I had a funny feeling it was you. I was at the lights coming from the tunnel direction. Gave you a flash but don't think you noticed. Your car was looking nice btw:).

    Less MPG using V-Power?

At the same time whats the point on spending more on something that makes little to no difference? I'll keep my extra pint thanks;).

    172 vs A3 1.8 T (1998)

I would fancy my chances with an A3 with 200 bhp.
