It would sound stupidly loud... And i think you would loose power, there would be less back pressure with a straight through pipe making the engine work harder to push the gases out? Though correct me if i am wrong anybody?

Well... depends what your after really, The cheapest mod is stripping the car which costs you nothing! On my RSi i have stripped it out, fitted bucket seats an 3-point harnesses, Spax adjustable shocks and -60mm springs, Magnex S/S system + de-cat, Hill power air filter, superchip...

this has been asked a thouand times matey, try using the search function But its quite an easy job to change an engine in a MK1 youll need... Off the top of my head you would need: Engine Ecu Engine loom Radiotor driveshafts i am sure theres a few more bits somebody else will list for you
