bit funny this though, some seem to be setup to run the ABS sensor for the speedo, even though they have a gearbox sensor. Not sure why.

aux belt should have been replaced at the same time, it has to be removed to do the cambelt. Was it a "local garage" ?

aux belt. might be ok if it's been thrown off rather than being tangled round the bottom pulley

most likely a bodge fix of a related issue, rather than the cause

yes definitely doesn't go there, that's where the front airbox bracket goes. if you pull the airbox out and have a look at the fan cowling, you might be able to see a hole in it where that would fit (or another one that's not plugged in maybe)

normally sits so it's inside the fan cowling and cooled I believe
