well i just sold my itg maxogen and refitted my ph1 airbox to my ph1 minus the cold air feeds and my god it sounds great!!! its got a k&n element in it but the induction noise is great, better than the maxogen! and there is no difference in performance either, so i would say yeah do it.
yeah it will lower a bit more once the springs settle, had them fitted to my cup back in 2003 and i was a bit disappointed at first but it lowered a bit after a few weeks and looked great and handled much better.
i had an open cone k&n on my old cup few years back, then reverted back to standard airbox with itg element. k&n sounded great but definately lost power, felt sluggish sometimes once the engine bay was hot especially in the summer. stick to standard airbox.
should never of sold my absolutely immaculate williams 3, had 46k on the clock and full hill power stage 1 conversion. was an awesome car and sounded fantastic, was written off by the guy who bought it off me.
then my first scooby, again, i loved this car, leda coilovers, hi spec...
im laughing with my ph1 172. was a euro import and the dvla must of mucked up some how, mine is £71.50 for 6 months and £130 for the year. quality. :-)
ok the belts are due on my ph1 172, here is my dillema. i have a complete air con delete set up from a cup lying in my hut which i want to get fitted, so the idea is to get this all done at the same time with the belts. but iv seen a set of catcams at a good price, so should i bite the bullet...
a clio is never going to sound great no matter what exhaust u stick on it tbh. throttle bodies sound great though. i miss my scoob for the exhaust note. :-(
mate if i had the money id snap his hand off. had 3 subarus, as soon as i can afford it ill have a fourth. that one looks really nice, bargain as well.
and this is why insurance is so high for young drivers, wet roads, driving too fast round a bend, luckily u didnt take out any innocent drivers with your reckless driving, still at least your off the road now.
the air con didnt work anyway, i live in scotland, i dont need it, i want to make the car lighter and free up a little bit of power. got the cup set up cheap from a car getting broken £60 for everything including the alternator so thats why im getting rid.
iv been quoted roughly 170 by one garage, the other garage couldnt quote as never done it before, asked if i would want all the pipework removed or would be happy with them just cutting some of the less accessable pipework which i said would be fine as long as all the heavy stuff was removed...
that doesnt sound good mate?? hopefully one of the experts on here will have some idea, iv not a clue, dont think it would be the starter motor though.
