k&n or itg panel replacement in the standard ph1 airbox mate. makes sod all difference anyway. put a k&n in mine zero difference, now got itg maxogen, again zero difference apart from it sounds a bit better.

iv had 3 scoobs, 2 modded uk turbos and a version 3 sti from japan, 4dr in white. all great cars, but the jap imports are better, i want a type r 3dr or like you a type ra, much better cars out the box, much closer ratio boxes so accelaration is sub 5 secs to 60, but not very good for...

ok, iv own a flame red ph1 172 with 107k on the clock, few mods and its a really good little car. however i really like the cups, and i owned one back in 2003 when i bought one brand new, and im finding myself looking at them on pistonheads. basically im getting the itch to change cars again...
its at it worst at 70mph in fifth, not ideal for obvious reasons. ill be honest im not impressed with the ktec, not because of quality just purely because i just dont think its sounds very good, its very monotone at all revs just gets louder but doesnt actually sound good, it drones as above...

if you do a lot of motorway driving DO NOT GET THE SUPERSPORT!! i have one on my ph1 172, its loud, and it drones really bad on the motorway, thankfully i only drive around town as it would drive me insane on long journeys.

my rear arches are mint, no rust at all on mine. i do clean it a lot, and it spent most of its like in the south of england, i do also clean the rear arches out a lot with the pressure hose to make sure there is no crud in there, force of habit from owning a clio 16v and a williams a suppose.
