fitted my itg panel filter to the cup on saturday and took out the cold air feed from the airbox and now have it sitting about an inch from the airbox as advised by a couple of people on here. what a difference!! it now sounds really throaty at 3500rpm and upwards, really nice induction roar...

u wouldnt need to change the ecu for an exhaust, if u fitted a viper/bmc induction system then it could affect the air/fuel mixture causing the car to run too lean and then u should look at a remap. power wise ktec quote about 6bhp for their sports cat and with a full system u might be looking...
yeah mate its just a case of taking out the screws, taking out the standard filter and replacing it, no adjustment needed. std exhaust is fine, makes no difference, easy to do i think, ill let u know as my itg filter is supposed to arrive tomorrow and ill be replacing it asap.

open i/k sucks in hot air from engine bay and will lose power, will sound good but defo lose power, if u can afford it go for the itg maxogen, carbon fibre airbox with itg filter i think they are £360 and are meant to give about 7bhp gain but u will probably need an engine re map to get the most...
right ive ordered a itg replacement filter and im going to take the pipe out of the airbox like cupboy said above and see what is sounds like, i dont expect any power gains from the itg but its a compromise for the time being until cash allows maybe a properly developed maxogen kit. i will post...
not talking about performance, just sound, k&n, green, k-techs, hill powers, piper x. want a nice roar from under the hood. used to have a k&n on my valver and it did sound really nice. didnt really notice anydrop in performance either.
mines is defo louder when hot, i think the magnex exhausts do get a bit louder the more miles they get on them. sure that was the case on my valver a few years back it i remember rightly.
saw this story on the whatcar website today at work, apparently these four or five dealerships in the midlands have got the last 40 pre reg cups with less than 100mls on the clocks going for £10999. bargain!! its in the website under the news

so far ive had my cup lowered and have a cat back magnex and now want to spend some more cash but cant decide what next. should i get the janspeed de cat pipe and a replacement filter (thinking itg panel filter) or should i go for the hill power induction kit or itg maxogen and leave the cat on...

my cup is going nowhere. had it nearly a year now only done 4800 miles and there is so much more i want to do to it, ie itg maxogen, de cat, unichip, its already been lowered and has a cat back magnex and ive upgraded the stereo and speakers and i love it. dont see the point in forking out more...
;)just saw my first 182 at local dealership parked outside with cup wheels and spoiler, it was the same colour as my cup i think, it looked the same anyway. not sure about those grey wheels though. cup is still the one to have;)
