speed is not the only thing that makes a great car, yes i agree the 182 would be quicker to 100, but so would a meastro turbo, thats not really the point is it. put it this way, he was never, and i mean never, going to be able to get past me. not a big enough difference in performance for that.

whats the opinions on the design of the cams? better than piper? the pipers are quite a high lift cam are they not so require lots of revs to get the gains higher up the rev range?? i know hillpower use them.

looking at getting a set of cams and verniers for my williams followed by a remap, car alreadys has filter/de cat/magnex/chip. there are a few options im looking at but cat cams are new to me but ive heard some good things about them and have been having a look on their website. just wondering...

if i was u i would get them refurb'd in standard silver they look mint when new, get new clear fogs and you'll be sorted.

that magnex is 3" mate, all the valver and willy systems by magnex were 3" its the only size they made, had the same on my valver and got the same on my williams now. car looks nice btw.

agreed but i would of spent more on a real minter tbh. thats what i did anyway, main thing is full history and receipts to back it up plus mint bodywork/arches etc, worth spending a bit more to get the best if u can imo.

no offense mate but after taking a loan for 8k u really should of spent a couple of grand more on getting a low miles minter.

in regards to the 0-60 issue mines is fitted with a hillpower stage 1 kit conversion which includes a chip with increased rev limit which enables the car to reach 60mph without changing up to 3rd gear thus reducing 0-60 time.

no way a remap gives more gains than cams. jesus's car is running standard pulleys and isnt timed properly so gains wont be as good as they should be. imo.

yeah im waiting on the pulleys too so i can order both at the same time and get the belt changed. xmas money isnt going to last very long!

£315 for 5bhp is a lot tbh. looks amazing though, would need to be wrapped imo to keep temps down. also heard makes the car sound a bit raspy/tinny? if i had money to burn though would get one as well as cams/pulleys.

yeah cant decide whether to get a supersprint manifold as well, heard mixed reports as to whether or not they actually give any gains.

yeah mate the cambelt is due, it was done at 22000mls its now on 51000 so was going to get the cams and pulleys fitted along with the new belt and kill 2 birds with one stone. plus get some extra poke so wont fell so bad parting with the cash.
