i wish mate!!! hes running t/b though right?? i just want a fast road car not going to be tracked or 1/4 mile just want plenty of usuable power when i want/need it.
dont know whether to get the head done at the same time or whether cams alone will make a noticable difference, plus if i got the head done i would have to do without the car for ages which isnt really an option at the moment.
yeah ive spoken to ben about his cams hes waiting on the pulleys being made it was his im thinking of getting. heard +20bhp being mentioned which is very impressive.
anybody had cams fitted to a williams? are the gains worth it? looks like this will be my next mod, i have a full hill power stage one kit plus a full magnex at the moment, was thinking about the supersprint manifold also. whats peoples opinions?
when i had my cup one of the first mods i did was uprated lowering springs lowered it 35mm as they sit way to high standard and are a bit on the soft side made a huge difference both in looks and handling and only costs roughly £150 fitted. then get yourself a stainless exhaust nice sound and...
both front springs broken, front brake hoses need replaced. so........... bought braided brake lines for the front and -25mm avo springs for the front and having the torsion bar lowered to match, should improve the already legendary handling.
ive heard reports that they dont offer any real gains over the standard williams 4-1 manifold. bearing in mind the other mods u have though i suppose there is nothing else u could spend that sort of cash on to get any more gains. they do look mint though.
get a good panel filter in the standard airbox and save your money that u would be wasting on a crappy viper and get a proper mod like inlet manifold work that actually gives an improvement.
yeah i had a cup sold it as it was costing too much on finance took out a loan and halved my monthly payments and got a pristine williams 3 with 50k on the clock and full renault history. never regretted it, love the williams. turns heads, looks great, goes really well (has hill power stage 1...
ive only seen one other williams on the road whilst ive been out in my willy and he gave me a flash of the lights and a wave. no actually ive seen 2 but both acknowledged me. great having a rare car which is also a classic
iirc the mk1 v6 was a turkey according to the majority of car mags, not that quick, shocking handling ie too easy to lose the rear end etc. so its not sure to be a classic is it. still lets hope so
