Dell c400 256Mb ram and P3. had it 3 years now, and it was secondhand then. it's never even been near a case and gets shoved under the carseat when i go anywhere. Simple and tiny, I'm making maximum effort to upgrade the internals so i dont have to change it
no.4 is awkward because of the oil pump, but you just need to get the crank to the right place and you can get to everything. No.1 I can't see anything would cause any difficulty??

major issues with USB to coms converters, there's loads that wont communicate with ECUs. Omex sell one that works I believe. Andy Uses a PCMCIA adapter with dual coms and it's very reliable, not sure on the make

lol, you're right to be a little cautious, but it's not that big a deal. once it's plugged in to the car it's shorted (inert) by the SRS computer. I've fitted literally hundreds, you'll be fine :)
