No doubt contemplating how much lubricant was going to be needed around the arsehole to pay the Nurburgring/recovery bill! I have also had this experience. Lol!
Did you get a bongard club sticker?
You'll not f**k it up mate even if you don't follow my recommendations tbh. You just might find that gear selection isn't so easy and needs another pair of hands to adjust it.
Regards the ph1 airbox, I originally had a v6 item and there was more induction noise for definite. I also had the...
What colour is the coolant that's in it now? Type d is a yellowy green colour. It's more than likely had some standard off the shelf coolant in it tbh. If you wanted to change to type d, or change from type d, you'd need to flush the system through thoroughly as they don't like to mix.
Type d...
Today, I flew a spitfire - as in I had the controls! Full report and pics will come in another thread, but for now, here's a pic of me getting strapped in! Parachute and harness!
Cheers mate! Lol!! You just can't get enough!!
The pilot I had today was called Dave today and he was a proper nice guy! There were 3 pilots in total today taking people out for the flights.
Words cannot describe just how f**king awesome that was!
Arrived at duxford. In the AG obviously! And now things are starting to get much more exciting! Had to have a 30 second long excitement piss!! Lol!
Just waiting for my flight briefing and I'll be in the air before 1pm.
More to come.
Yeah I'll sort all that out when I'm back home mate. Currently on holiday! Lol!
Regards the gaskets and seals, I'm pretty sure that everything comes in the bottom end and top end gasket sets. Thrust washers and stuff are separate obviously.
Drop me a pm next week and I'll get on all of it...
@Trophyboy2017
Get them to measure the bores. I can let you know what the upper level is for bore wear if you need to know - this is what renault specify as well. I've found that the majority of f4r's are in the upper limit for bore wear.
The plans for the future sound good mate, but I'd just...
Well it's run lean for some reason or another. Could've been signs of a dying fuel pump as well potentially.
Very tidy car you've got there though buddy looking at the engine bay shots.
That block doesn't look like it'll hone up either, but I could be wrong. Overbore is the only option then...
Standard power? Or running more boost? It could be that the heat from the engine was evaporating the fuel or knocking the Ron content down. Seen that happen before.
'Oh f**k off miss daisy' was one of the things I seem to recall saying. Lol! I'll get them off the GoPro and on to the laptop mate when I get some spare time.
It is, but I don't miss it. It was a very fast little car in its final guise mate. Need to upload some of the in-car footage off the GoPro, it's just having time.
No mate. The AG is staying in the same condition as it is now, other than improving the brakes. There were only 55 AG 200's produced...
They do 2 different types mate. The 19mm is the one for road use and the 22mm is the one for the track. Increasing rear roll stiffness will also reduce understeer and help the car turn in. It's also the correct way to do things rather than upping the spring rates.
The whiteline will feel...
Me neither mate, but the current setup on track was sometimes quite frankly pant shittingly worrying! Lol! I don't do last of the late brakers, it's just not my style, but the current setup wasn't ideal. I had to do some proper foot dancing with @Sunglasses_Ron in the car mate! Trying to haul it...
Dunno tbh mate until they're done. I'll let you know once it's happened though.
Ah yeah seen them. £280 odd for a pair of rears and similar for the fronts ( because it would have to match! 🙈)
Ah right ok. I'm just going to run the standard discs front and rear, but get the J hook pattern machined into them like I had on the cup up front.
It doesn't feel as though the pads want to 'bite' the disc if you get me? Granted ds2500's up front are probably not the best choice up front for...
