Yeah you need to roll the car forward and backward to settle everything unless you have turnplates mate. The tyres create friction and stop everything giving you the correct reading until you release it.
The only place I'd take a car to be aligned at is a motorsport company who know what they're doing. The likes of ats etc, don't really have a clue about the equipment as they don't get trained on it properly!
You've got 20minutes toe out there, which for some is too much. I personally liked it...
Only advice I can offer is work in minutes so I don't need to translate your readings from degrees to minutes! Lol!!
Also, not sure if you did or not, make sure the string is in the centre of the wheel. You can use the centre cap then to set the distances up easier.
Regards the thrust angle...
f**king hell! I was waiting for that!!! It'll not be long now until you get caught rocking your little girl to sleep by your work colleagues..........and your nipper is nowhere in sight!!!!!!! I did. Lol
@SharkyUK I've taken the liberty of speaking to steve on your behalf, and he's happy to have the engine back and strip it down. This will be done labour free, so all you'd have to do is pay for whatever parts are required - assuming it needs some, and the collection/delivery of the engine. He's...
I filled mine with Halfords mineral oil, cranked it to build oil pressure, then struck it up. After that it pretty much went to be mapped and had the s**t knocked out of it. 230bhp later and all was good! Lol
Hello mate, how's it going? New project?! Not a f**king chance of anything occurring with this one I'm afraid.
This will be staying as it currently stands which is:
H&R springs
Akrapovic evolution exhaust (full system)
Michelin pilot cup 2's
Everything else is just standard FF 200 spec tbh...
Yeah I'm pretty confident I can get into the 8:15's in its current trim mate. Obviously take back seats out for a insignificant weight saving, but every little helps.
For what you're doing I'm amazed that you're not finding them too soft tbh. Only way to get the rear lower is custom rear springs, or go for coilover rear.
