Scuttle induction is what I was going to run when I had an rs2 mate.
I was going to run my v6 airbox straight off the throttle body, then a length of flexible hose coupled to the williams/16v scuttle induction scoop.
Not sure if it would fit, or work for that matter, but it's certainly a good...
Difficult one that mate. The ph1 shafts are shorter, the cup shafts are unique to the 172 cups and I think the 172/182 shafts are potentially the same.
The solenoid is located on the top of the charcoal canister mate. It just pulls out basically. Leave the wiring connected and cut the pipes. Mine just vent to atmosphere and I have no issues with the tank pressurising etc. The charcoal canister feed pipe is rubber at the inlet end - where it...
Yeah this is it mate. Yes the charcoal canister is gone, but I retained the solenoid to overcome any warning lights. It's all gone though now as I've done a full custom engine loom along with a gen90.
Can't say as I have seen them tbh mate. I don't really pay much attention to them when I'm out the workshop.
Yeah it's keltruck that I work for mate. Unfortunately. West pennine Stoke is around a 40 minute drive away from me. Shame really, but they're all as bad now tbh. Expect everything, but...
If you have a look on the front of the casing you'll see the model code of the box mate. If it says 'jc5 130' which I suspect it will, then yes it's a 182 box. Possibly an early twin taper bearing 130 box.
I'm a truck mechanic as well! Who do you work for?
You can get it corner weighted as is mate - the springs don't dictate this, so if you were getting it corner weighted, I'd have it on the suspension that you intend on running. Otherwise it will cost you twice.
I personally wouldn't bother with the b14's. I'd punt them on and put the rest...
Hello @jeremy swanson and welcome to the club!
There are a few on here that have fitted Megane 225 engines as well as the vag 1.8T.
If you click on 'search' and enter the details your looking for, the majority of it will be found.
Happy hunting!
I'm sure it's been stated on here what the billy rates are mate, so it's worth a search. It will combat some, but a lot of that can come from various things - rear roll stiffness, roll centres etc.
Also worth noting, the rear controls the front on a fwd car, so you may need to up the rear rates...
Do you know what the original bilstein Spring rates are? You want to be in around 450-500 up front mate, but just be prepared for them to wear the dampers out quicker that's all. We aren't talking within months though, so don't worry.
Thanks - it's definitely worth the journey!
I opted for the Quaife over the gripper as I got the Quaife at the right price from @Tony Hunter when he upgraded to the gripper.
