I don't want to know what's up your pipeline if that's ok! Flol!!
This is similar to what I was going to do with mine when I had the rs2, and I'm really interested to see what it does.
1ltr per 1000m is actually classed as acceptable by most manufacturers mate! Lol! Another reason for the 10/60 is that's what the M cars run on, albeit castrol edge (formerly Rs), so if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for mine! Lol! Having spoken to a mate at great length, there may...
My reasoning for using it comes from a lot of engines running forged bottom ends burn off the oil like it's going out of fashion from the larger clearances. Once up to temp it's not so much of an issue. As you are finding out, forged engines like a drink.
It'll be very much trial and error as its an unknown for if it will work or not. I was going to do something similar on mine when I was going to run my rs2, but decided on the other engine instead.
As in the one that slides over and has teeth that grip the steering arm? If so then yes, I've used one and they're fine. I certainly didn't have any issues when removing mine. Yeah they were tight, but they've got to be.
No spacers and a cup turini. You can't run wheel weights where the caliper runs though!
Yeah your going to need a spacer mate. Not all 15's will fit so choose wisely. My 15" turinis wouldn't fit over @Cub. 's setup. Ever!!
197/200/225/230 brembos are all the same. 250's have a larger pad...
I'm already running softer front springs than is ideal, so I'm ok there! I couldn't think of anything worse though than removing the engine and box for the flywheel. Plus it would throw the entire bottom end balance out! Lol
As @MartinR says, it's all about the pad swept area. You'd need a bell and rotor setup of you didn't want the rusty unswept area around the disc. That's what I'll be doing on mine.
It's the air temp sensor mate. Not sure why Renaultsport decided to put it that far forward, but it's possibly to stop any heat soak issues like you'd get if it was in the inlet manifold.
Just for you @M.C.. Happy now?! Lol! Also did the airbox where it butts up to the airboxAnd finally for today, we have some oil for the initial start up and run. Got a lot going on the next week or so, so I doubt I'll be doing much on it.
More to come. In a week or so. Lol!
What offset are your 2118's mate? The lower the offset, the easier it will be in terms of running a spacer.
I'm pretty sure someone on here has had the brembos and 2118's fitted without much hassle, but I can't remember who! @Cub. can you think who it could've been?
No problem! Best Clio forum for the best Clio advice!
Yeah basically you need to squeeze the white plastic section on the oil pressure switch, then pull it off the sensor. After that it's just a case of getting a spanner on the sensor base itself. Failing that, a deep socket should be...
You might get a small amount of oil that comes from where the oil pressure sensor is, but it'll be only a small amount. Just place a rag underneath it to catch any oil that comes out.
