Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

Voilà. Wiring loom romeo done. Just got to do a systems check on all the sensors now. I'll probably throw some coolant in it tomorrow and bleed it up as well. More to come.

    Pricing up timing belt etc!

The engine is the same code (f4r) but they're different at the same time! Lol! The belt and the dephaser are different on the 197 engine compared to the 172/182. Locking tools are the same.

    1*2 Gear Ratios

2 numbers as you need 2 gears mate. The ratio is 0.89 iirc. Long time since I've done a tooth count tbf.

Welcome to the best Clio forum @RossDC!! Oh and blue and green Clios are the choice of heroes. Not that I'm biased!

    Daniels Blue 182.

What are the new studs like for the length protruding from the wheels?

    Megane jc5-091 gearbox

    Ph1 172's (089) and some, if not most ph2 172's (129).

    Megane jc5-091 gearbox

In theory any jc5 box should fit, but I'd imagine you need one with a speedo drive? That limits your options and you may be better off fitting a jc5 089 or a 129.

    **show us Your Engine Bay**

    Looks brilliant mate!

    Is premium oil worth it?

The majority of cars have gear oil in them that's never been replaced mate! Most jc5's will need to be topped up as they leak like a sieve at the selector shaft!! The oil replacement/topping up procedure has been covered by @VR46-G@Z

    All in good time lover.

    Is premium oil worth it?

It's Mobil 1 Motorsport that I run. But its worth keeping in mind that changing gear oil reasonably regularly is also a must as far as I'm concerned, especially on a track car. The oe spec oils will NOT stand up to track use as the heat breaks them down. Before you know it, you've got a crunchy...

Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

Had an hour spare this afternoon so I thought I'd do a bit more. Decided to be like this guy: The end result was this:As you can see still a few wires to shorten/add terminals to, but I think there's only about 10 or so left. Then the loom is finished. Another job ticked off the list!! More...

    Mk3 cup racer spoiler??

Not that I'm aware of but it could be the case. I still deal with the bloke that was in charge at r sport.

    AST's - Where from?

If your feeling brave ring Curtis at Ast and ask for a price. Tell him cash and drive up to collect them. What you after 4100's or 5100's?

    Track phase 182

Well I'd quite confidently say there is your issue mate. Either pipe up the compensator valve correctly and try again, or remove it and try the reducers.

    Rear brake help!

Yes mate you do. £12 will give you full access and a very good selection of traders. @George@RTR_Parts can supply you these spacers.

    Mk3 cup racer spoiler??

You'd only be able to get one through what used to be R sport at Wimbledon.

    Track phase 182

I thought you'd done away with the rear compensator??

    The £600 Cup Track Build

The coil light is due to it not being connected I imagine. Easiest way to rule that out is to plug it in and make sure it's bolted to the inlet/engine. Can't quite remember if they're earthed through the engine you see - some coil packs are. What wiring have you removed so far? You ideally...

Con rod bolts ARP and standard

    They're a 3/8 12 point socket size. A 12 point 10mm socket will do them, but it'll be a bit loose that's all.

Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

I've had some spare time today, so a bit more progress has been made! First up we have some brake lines. Ordered these off eBay to suit the Meg brembos. It's not quite viper green, but it'll do!! Next on the hit list was the support bracket for the underside of the carbon airbox. No pictures...
