Voilà. Wiring loom romeo done. Just got to do a systems check on all the sensors now. I'll probably throw some coolant in it tomorrow and bleed it up as well. More to come. :up:

The engine is the same code (f4r) but they're different at the same time! Lol! The belt and the dephaser are different on the 197 engine compared to the 172/182. Locking tools are the same.

2 numbers as you need 2 gears mate. The ratio is 0.89 iirc. Long time since I've done a tooth count tbf.

What are the new studs like for the length protruding from the wheels?

Ph1 172's (089) and some, if not most ph2 172's (129).

In theory any jc5 box should fit, but I'd imagine you need one with a speedo drive? That limits your options and you may be better off fitting a jc5 089 or a 129.

The majority of cars have gear oil in them that's never been replaced mate! Most jc5's will need to be topped up as they leak like a sieve at the selector shaft!! The oil replacement/topping up procedure has been covered by @VR46-G@Z

Well I'd quite confidently say there is your issue mate. Either pipe up the compensator valve correctly and try again, or remove it and try the reducers.

The coil light is due to it not being connected I imagine. Easiest way to rule that out is to plug it in and make sure it's bolted to the inlet/engine. Can't quite remember if they're earthed through the engine you see - some coil packs are. What wiring have you removed so far? You ideally...

Funnily enough, I need some of that for where the 2 halves of the airbox butt against each other!

They're a 3/8 12 point socket size. A 12 point 10mm socket will do them, but it'll be a bit loose that's all.

It sits under the black plastic of the bumper trim so it'll stay as it is! Lol! Stop zooming in!!
