You need to measure the centres of the bolt holes mate, but I'd hazard a guess that they're 54mm non cup packed hubs if we are talking 182's as they are 60mm centres, but they're cup hubs if we are talking 172 cup. Make sense?
172 cup has longer steering arms than the others, and I think that the 182 has the same length steering arms.
I've got 2 spare standard length steering arms if your interested? No play at all.
Wheels spinning with the car in the air is normal. The noise your hearing is just the gears in the gearbox making noise because they're being turned by the gearbox input shaft. It's perfectly normal so I wouldn't worry about it.
Yeah the seal kit will do a pair of calipers and comes with the slider bits as well, but not the slider pins. To clean the pad carrier just use a file, but don't got ott and remove a lot of material.
Pop the pistons out and check them. Could be that they're starting to seize from corrosion build up.
They need to be nice and clean to allow the piston to retract properly when the brakes are released.
For the costs involved I'd just refurb them with a seal kit personally. Big Redd sell them...
Yeah I must be honest, I find the replies and his, what appears to be a total lack of support for what's essentially his mistake bewildering. It could've filled a gap in the market quite nicely, but anyone who sees this thread now will no doubt bid it b****cks and hold out for a 2nd hand rs2.
I've got loads of laps from a video camera and my gopro, but I cba to convert the video camera footage from tape to digital and the gopro footage just needs uploading to YouTube.
The only footage that's uploaded currently is the one that the majority of people on here will have seen, which is...
Agreed. Vw are kings of emissions/economy, so maybe they have a fancy system to measure it...........lol!
As far as I'm aware though, egt sensors in each branch is the only way to do this. @Dan@SJM (aka terry tibbs - talk to me!) will be able to give more light on this as he's had way more...
As @Mr Burns has said, don't be put off from going to the place just from all the crash footage you see. It truly is an epic place to be for any petrol head. It also boasts one of the most exotic/expensive car parks your likely to see!
Drive the circuit with respect and you will be fine. Your...
I'm one of the many that doesn't wear a helmet. Nothing to brag or boast about, I just prefer the laps without one on. I know a lot of people who think I'm crackers because I don't wear one.
That place is full of epic cars! I remember being in the cafe at adenau when a pre production veyron...
Just trim the underside skin of your bonnet mate. It's the plenum part of the inlet that will catch, so it's not a huge amount of material to remove.
There's no real benefit to the coil on plug setup over the original 1*2 coil pack and leads. The only reason that I've used the cop is from a...
