You can get power out of any n/a 4 pot tbh. You've just got to have deep pockets! Lol! The e30 m3 4 pot was very responsive to n/a tuning, with 300bhp+ achieved, but the rebuild intervals at this level of hp are quite frankly, horrendous.
Unfortunately there is a lot of 'pub talk' hp figures...
I know mate! It only became clear just how big the crownwheel is when I fitted it, or at least attempted to!! Lol! Die grinder to the rescue to relieve the casing.
Lol @30mph!! You'll be on the limiter at 30! In 5th!
Nothing to update I'm afraid, but I have been in the garage! The time spent in there has been used doing some odds and sods, but nothing cup related.
Here's a couple of pics for you! Yes that crownwheel is funking huge! The casings had to be modified to allow the diff to turn! Lol! A bit of...
Yeah I agree! The twingo will have a far better safety cell/ncap rating.

Mine *should* have a bit more power than this, and the weight is nigh on the same, so in theory mine will have a bit more than 211bhp/tonne. Proof will be in the mapping!
From what I've seen the conversion is relatively straight forward. It'll be the wiring that will give you the most grief...
I can accommodate. You'll lose less hp as well as the transmission losses are reduced. Another bonus is that you could get a nice long 1st gear, with the rest all nice and close.
Does anyone want a run down of the cost of the gearbox parts that I have? These are genuine Renault items and I think it will give a good insight as to how much it can cost to carry out the most common repairs.
When I say gearbox parts I mean gearbox parts list btw!
Cost wise you need to budget for around 3.5k to get them supplied, fitted and mapped if you were to opt for the ktec itb package for instance. Work wise it depends on how good you are on the spanners yourself. They aren't anything difficult to fit though.
Advantages are more power and you get...
