Yeah it's all coming together nicely now mate.
When my head is clear of Clio related bollox I'll go through the videos mate. I've not forgotten, just been totally consumed by all things blue and green and my brain can't multi task! Lol
The kit you found is only compatible with the 089 and some 129's mate. They are speedo drive gearboxes for reference.
No worries bud. Any stress just give me a shout.
@Gerben Visser the part number for the full rebuild kit you require is: 3201 043 88R
The item on the right of the picture is the large overhaul kit with bearings and synchros, but the item on the left is only a basic one with synchros and seals. I can get the large kit for around £270 (gbp)...
They will be about £140-£150 delivered mate. That includes all hardware required as well. Direct replacement as well so no faffing.
If I had more than 10 sets the price would drop to £120-£130 delivered. I can't afford to sit on that many though unfortunately.
Not straight on to the pump housing mate I'm afraid. They will only work if you use them where I've used mine, so that would mean using the original plastic pipe from the pump to the rear of the subframe.
It's a shame as they're a cracking solution.
That's how I was going to do mine as well tbh, but I just thought I'd give the adapters a try. The aeromotive quick connect adapters don't work with the renaults mate as there's not enough length on the outlet pipe. If the ring that it clips on to was further down the pipe and not so close to...
I assumed the typo option mate, so your safe. Regards crushing the plastic, you'd have to be one heavy handed fucker to crush it I reckon.
This is how renaultsport do the cup racers for reference:This is a 200 cup racer setup ^^^
Just a little update, if anyone's interested in a set of custom aluminium brackets to mount brembos let me know! I'll have 10 sets soon to mount brembos on 300mm discs, or a 2 piece option that I'll be running in 295mm form.
No option of a 280mm setup, but if people are interested enough...
Cheers Paul! Yeah been cracking on fairly well mate. The momentum will remain now as well.
No worries on the fuel line pic mate, I've got sorted out with the fitting in the last update I did, but I know I can copy the cup racer set up if I need to.
Yeah that fuel lines secured with a hose...
Yeah you see I didn't want to use jubile clips. The cup racers retained the oe clip on fitting with the stainless braided line crimped on and secured with a ferrule.
Ridiculous isn't it! You can't even see them when they're installed! Lol but it had to be jic fittings or factory look.
I'm afraid I don't mate. It's just a 197 cup racer item though and it's specific to that inlet. The 172 ones are still available as well I think, but circa £200!
Yeah relatively straight forward mate. Are you wanting to run the stainless braided line in the car? If you do then the problem comes with connecting up to the pump with the adapters as they won't work. I modified mine to work at that particular point.
There's 2 kits. 1 for the 089/129 and another for the 130. I'll see if I can find the part numbers.
@Gerben Visser let me know what the full gearbox code is on your casing as well.
Sounds similar to the issue I had with the rears on my cup mate. Swapping to a bigger bearing will hopefully see the issue f**king off for good. If not I'm into custom stub axles and hub/disc assemblies. :pensive:
I also followed all the b****cks for tightening them up only to find the issue...
I'm quite tempted to do the Origine Rs show next year @Cub.
I like tracks that are a challenge and fast. Plus I can go home at dinner time when I've got bored. Lol
To summarise though @DCELEC 182 the price is £650 for your hubs to be modified and this includes all the machined items being zinc plated.
You then just bolt them back on to your car, set the geo accordingly and go out and enjoy a truly different Clio experience.
Have a look in this thread mate. You are correct, I do the roll centre hubs. http://www.cliosport.net/threads/roll-centre-bump-steer-corrector-hubs.717989/
