    JC5-089 and JC5-129 final drive

What's up with your box currently? I may be able to help as I have stripped and rebuilt a fair few of these now. I'd stick my neck out and say that all the ones available on the market need a few new gears in them as well tbh. They might last you a year or so before anything became noticeable.

I'm pretty sure it's a plug and play solution tbh mate.

    JC5-089 and JC5-129 final drive

You'll not notice much difference at all tbh. Might be slightly better on fuel at cruising speeds.

Cub's Flamer - Supercharged, Cage etc

Lol - quality picture! For anyone who's not had the joy of going for a drive in this car, I can confirm its a real weapon! It's deceptively quick too. We were into 3 figure in no time at all (30.3mph ) and it just keeps pulling. Great car and a great conversion. Shame the owners a bell...

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

That's one of the reasons I've never bothered doing a trackday there tbh. Just doesn't have enough appeal. I even managed to get bored with oulton! And I've only been once! Lol

Green Track Cup - Back To Basics

That's not a bad plan right up to the point that you encounter the splined 5th gear not playing ball and not coming off the shaft. Every single box I've stripped, the 5th gear has been a pita to remove. f**king things! Lol! I did consider doing it the very same way though, so original 5th for...

Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

Made a start on the gearbox today. Waiting on 4th gear arriving ( on back order) so there's not really much else I can do other than knock a bearing race on to the pinion end of the mainshaft. The bearing collar for 4th gear on the top of the shaft has now been fitted properly too. Gave myself a...

That is the smallest laminova mocal do mate. It was originally used on my Astra Quaife straight cut gearbox. It used to have overheating issues from anything over 150-160mph and this cooler was boss of the job!! Box in bits is no drama tbh mate. It's been stripped down like that for well over 12...

Thanks. It's all just a bit of fun tbh. I like to do things differently too. If it was all out N/A performance I was after I'd have to choose itb's, but that's not the aim with this for me. Thanks! I try my best!

Cheers Tim. I'm trying not to think about that! Lol! Sub 8:15 is still the target though, but in 2015 I'm not sure unfortunately.

    Brake Ducts

The CM Composites ones will fit very well mate. He remade them after making them actually fit a 1*2 fog light opening, unlike the original cup racer ones. They were done with the ethos based on "looks mint from the grandstand". Lol

Thanks. Yeah 1st to 4th are the staying the same but I'm running a meg 5th gear. Final drive is staying standard as well.

Ok, so little bit of an update and a few pics! Here's the laminova that I'll be using to keep the oil cool. Really trick bits of kit tbh. Next up we have a jc5 in kit form!! Hope you lot know where everything goes, because I'm fucked if I do! Lol! Here's a shot of the freshly painted gearbox...

See if custom cages will sell you just the front section to the cage you have if you decide full cage. That's 100% a custom cages rear cage.

    Wheel Whore & New Lighting

Lol! Not to worry mate. It was mainly to be nosey tbh as I like the look of the wheel. Offset the lowz with a roll centre kit.

I think it looks good. Would look even better if it was lower, but that's not what trophy's are about. Did you ever manage to weigh one without a tyre fitted btw?

Lol! No worries mate I'll try my best. Yeah it can be mate. That's why you don't run a thermostatic sandwich plate with the laminova as well.

    Camshaft change

Providing you've got ALL the locking tools yeah why not, but I would still fit a full belt kit rather than just the cambelt. If your fitting bodies and 421's your clearly going to give it a bit of thrash so how annoyed will you feel if one of the rollers fails prematurely?
