The usual! Who's up for another ribs meet?
£20, all you can eat, this Monday night (24th). Meet between half 6 and 7 in the car park at Xscape/Soar/Intu/whateverthehellitscallednowadays.
Short notice but I'm in the mood for some ribs soon so thought I'd try turn it into a meet!
@rctempire...
Flol! I'm still at a loss as to how red hot coals can produce so little heat!
Might have been, but you still paid for dinner when there was all the free burgers and chicken you could want being made for us!
I don't remember any sick?! And I was camped fairly near your trailer lol! The tactical spew was courtesy of one of @rctempire's mates though, if that's who it was.
The lukewarm BBQ was one of the best laughs I had all weekend I think. WTF was up with that thing?! 😂
There's myself and @Djw John for the general central belt of Scotland for now. Doesn't have to be a rep that organises the meets though, anyone can do it. We're here to help out though.
I take it you're local to Hamilton? I don't know that way too well so feel free to organise a time and place...
I'd be up for this once I get the car up and running again. I've been slightly useless with organising meets lately lol, between sorting SCS and CSS then just being generally busy with work it's taken a back seat.
I'm sure there's a few others who'd be interested in this too though. Get a...
They're about 15mm wider each side when compared with non sport ones (certainly the 1.6/dci 100 disc beam anyway). Technically it's the stub axles that make it wider, although I've never measured for differences within the beam itself.
Almost certain the fittings are all the same on each model. One issue you will have though is clearance between the wheel and spring. Unless you're running a 182 rear beam you'll probably need about 20mm of spacing or low offset wheels to clear the coilovers.
Yeah there will be! We had monthly food meets and stuff at the start of the year but in the run up to CSS and Scottish Car Show they sort of got put on the back burner.
Will try and maybe get something organised for this month.
If you have ideas for meets through feel free to put a thread...
Likewise mate! Kept meaning to get a few passenger laps in your flamer but was having too much fun on track myself lol!
When did you last see it before then? Car is serving me well atm. Wasn't as flat through bends as I hoped but don't fancy uprating the springs while still using it on the road.
Absolutely zero updates on this... Was at Scottish Car Show a few weeks back, so the car has received a bit of a tidy up. Polished very quickly, touched up the wheels, painted the brake calipers silver, and the front Renault diamond and side bump strips satin black. And yet I have no pictures of...
LOL, I was the one sitting next to you for a while late on the Saturday night by the fires. Pretty sure that was the point where your Mrs was trying to explain a story about something, but all we got from it was that she was driving somewhere. Absolute tears at that!
Buckfast man would be one...
Just had a chance to look through these, awesome pics! Any more of my ph1? Reg X639 ENM
I've got a good few videos from on track on my GoPro that I'll try and get on to youtube when I can
Dave has pretty much nailed it there IMO! There was something for everyone. I'd have liked to see some trader stalls and stuff, but besides that, the whole weekend was brilliant.
On another note, from what I saw on the AM session anyway, the standard of driving from everyone on track was...
Awesome weekend! Was good to meet everyone and put faces to names. Some effort must've been put in to get all that organised so thanks to all the admin.
Finally got home about an hour ago, and now on the way back down to pick up Fraser's car. Gonna be a long night!
For any of you NE guys, the few of us heading down from Scotland now have plans cemented in place. We should reach newcastle/durham/darlington way around 3:00/3:30pm, and will be stop in at Scotch Corner services. If there's anyone wants to meet up then feel free to meet us there
So, a change from the original plan.
If there is somehow anyone else planning on meeting us despite the lack of activity in here, we're now meeting at Krispy Kreme in Edinburgh for midday. Grab a coffee, then head off around half past and go down the A68 from Dalkeith all the way down to...
