Fantastic!
Mines just soaking the mileage up too. Mines just turned over 125k. I’d like it to last to the 200k mark. I need a few little jobs doing and actually clean the car, and it should keep plodding along.
It’s not a car that I hammer in the slightest, so I’d imagine the mechanical sympathy...
You’d have to use the Ph1 inlet too I believe, should all be pretty straight forward then IIRC
edit: just seen your new post, I’m sure it’s not advised to mix and match covers, for reasons I can’t remember. Someone will be along to confirm.
Just spray plenty of WD40 around the glow plugs the day before, then take them out while the engine is hot - I was worried, but mine came straight out without fuss.
Okay, so...I’m finally getting around to considering the timing belt change, now I have time. A few questions for you guys..
1) Are the eBay 3 pin locking tools enough/good enough to do the job?
2) Anything else worth changing while both belts are getting changed, inc water pump.
I can’t...
I almost cried when I bought a 172 cup about 18 months ago, it was a rough car, but it had an original front bumper, original splitter and bumper inserts unpainted.
I loaded the car onto a trailer and smashed the splitter straight off, within 5 minutes of owning the car ?
I’ve kept the...
Definitely the best decision you’ve made, I feel relieved for you, Andy.
I’d personally just break the whole car up for parts, as even to get it back to standard will cost money.
I’d start a new chapter with a completely new/different car.
I just put fuel cleaner in once a month and I make sure I give the car some good revs every so often, to keep everything as clean as possible in the fuel system.
Just get a de-cat and centre section removed at the same time, it’ll probably cost about £80, job done. The cars out of main dealer warranty anyway, so I wouldn’t worry.
Update 19/04/2019
Good day today! I’d kind of neglected the car over the last 5-6 weeks, I knew the brakes needed doing, just didn’t have time. Also, the rear wheel bearing/bearings started whining really bad.
So today, it was a veryyyyyy long, tiring day. The car tested me today ??? but in...
Just a little update on this little tank...I’ve not done much at all to it, apart from drive it and fit a tyre.
It’s now on 124,000 miles, which means I’ve done 6,000 miles in it already! It’s just lapping up the mileage.
I do however intend on spending 1-2 days on the car over the Easter...
I’d 100% also buy one without the aero kit.
I was going to buy one a while back - couldn’t decide between the aero kit or non aero/povo exteriorwith A180d badges ?
Afternoon all,
Just looking for some pointers.
I’ve changed the battery on my DCi, hoping it was just maybe the volts dropping.
When the cars been sat for a long period of time (overnight mainly) I get the battery and STOP light flickering as I drive off. The light flickering only lasts for...
