Stu,
you got any pics of the sunflower on the anthracite f1's?
tempted to have mine refurb anthracite but not sure what will look like - can you help me?
cheers
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
gutted to hear its back off road again, bugger.
hope you get it running again soon.
all my plans on hold at the moment while im between jobs :(
cracking car, gotta love the Sunflowers.
im the same dilema with the side strips, to colour code or not, i even thought of antracite as another contrast? but they've stayed black at the mo.
ok driving me crazy now, the seat handle to tip the seat forwards keeps coming off on my Ph1.
whats the trick to fitting it back on.
the handle and the plug are all intact, it just keeps falling off gggrrrrr
Ive a slight knocking noise when pulling away in 1st and 2nd,
which mount is it likely to be?
upper gearbox or the dog bone.
car has 70k on clock and i reckon both are originals.
which would be the likely culprit, or what are the symptoms of each wearing out and il try and diagnose
cheers
Spotted trophy in the traffic outside, waved i was in the sunflower,
also a Black 1*2 on the grid line up, RB with stripes tucked away in a side carpark and a yellow 200 in the centre shelter stands
good meet loads of nice cars, Veyron still looks great in the flesh

the cheaper text based services dont include finance, so if its old enough you can maybe take the risk for the cheaper services, personally if your spending £000's whats £25 for full peace of mind?
Re: M3 / M27 / Titchfield - Loads of different clios - sunflower / racing blue / bl
Sunflower's me! heading home from Whiteley.
what you driving Bm or Saxo? what brings you down there?
anyone know the part number for a Ph1 172 tdc sensor?
i hear they do one that wont require the loom to be changed like the new Renault ones do, but my local branch werent much help
or anyone know anyone else that does one that will plug straight in rather than chop about?
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
at least it was just a 'slight' moment, too many of our 'flowers are hitting the scrap yard in the sky.
hope you get it back soon
if i recall correctly,
get in the car, hold down the locking switch for a couple of seconds and the immob' light will come on, press the key and it should re synch.
I want to check my engine / gearbox mounts i have a slight vibration when pulling away hard in 1st and from threads the top engine and upper gearbox mounts are possible options.
given i've a Ph1 there is every chance they are still originals, so the weekend looks good so thought i would brave...
my PH1 only the 'sport' badge was stuck on with tape, so use the floss on this.
the 'renault' & 'clio' badges both have pins through the boot lid,
take off the inner boot trim and you can push them back through and hey presto badges pop off
to stick back on, halfords sell bumper trim tape...
from experience i have run both a supercharger and a turbo on the sam engine, all be it not a clio, but in a vectra SRi
the centrafugal supercharger needed mpre revs that a T34 turbo to boost up,
dont alway acept the 'logic' that a supercharger develops smooth seemless power low down, from...
its all in the prep, plenty of prep and the final coats will go on fine,
as above get decent paint not halfords and you'll be ok, just take it easy in all the nooks and cranys, lots of light coats
