If its a mk2, ask them if its had the knocking under load on the front suspension. Easy fix and most have it done. It knocks when you boot it in 1st
Also, later 172s have cruise control as standard.
Check how bald the tyres are, if it has full RSH, chips on...

Maybe someone could Photoshop one for you. Think it would look a million times better with the bumpers colour coded. Also, something that helps is to put mk2 rear light on and a little drop. Would give it a better stance. Not to expensive

Both very very capable cars. Id imagine the LCR is a little thirstier on petrol. LCR is much easier to mod, a Revo chip takes it upto 270+bhp. Different cars though, ones a sporty supermini the other is a sporty family hatch.
Id go for the LCR, but you might want to consider that the 182 will...
