If you do it off pictures you'll never get it quite right - each monitor/camera shows/takes pictures at slightly different colours.
As for a paint code, the buggers at Renault don't do one. you'll have to get a match at a paint shop or something. I need to repaint mine as they are curbed to...
Oooh! Contravertial! Personally I'm a Dunlop man - SP Sports in my opinion.
Keep up the good work, and providing us some interesting reading during our lunch break :D
Well impressed by all that mate! Thought anything about the tires you'll be running it on - you'll need some seriously soft rubber to keep all the power down. Might be worth some dot-specs or something.
Think you're doing really well though, and I wish I had the balls to do that - and the...
side repeaters are the ones under your side mirrors - they're orange plastic on your pic, while you can get clear/white plastic ones - or even smoked ones if you so decided. i think the white/clear option looks the best personally though.
As far as insurance goes, you should notify your...
It might be worth getting someone to do it for you Laura - as you said, you're not particulalry mechanically minded, and without a lift/pit it'd be rather difficult to do.
You'd probably be without your car for a few days if you were lowering it.
Change of alloys, and lower profile tyres - 16s...
It's cause they threw them roads down - they're really weak stuff and the top "shines" really easy with heavy traffic. I've had a few moments on those roads too. The one up the orbital is as bad.
Was one steering and the other operating the pedels? :rasp:
I'm up your way next weekend - black 182 B*54 HLM - ClioSport stickered, with a nice gray primer spot on my bonnet.
Its true that you'll get more gains the more powerful your engine is, but then the same is true for Shell VPower or BP Ultimate - anything below a 1.6, and you'll not notice ANY difference running on anything like that. From what I can tell (reading on other websites), with the bio-ethanol...
The bio-etanol part is renewable - it's the petrol blended with it that isn't.
Also, it's CO2 neautral, meaning that all the CO2 you pump out per litre, gets absorbed at a higher/the same rate by the plants.
So you can rag your car around, AND hug trees!
I'm in exactly the same position. The lockers are s**te! When I had my car second hand it had two locking wheel nut keys in the pack - one was completly shredded! Now, my other one is getting as bad, and am really struggling to get them off. I know you can get replacment keys - the key has a...
Yeah - I knew about the injectors - the kit replaces them with uprated ones.
ECU maps is where I really fell over - my knowledge gets a little fuzzy when it all goes electronic! Do you not think that the stock ECU could be reprogrammed to make benefit of it? Or is it really a full ECU swap?
Brake oil fluid level. The (!) is actually the brake fluid level warning indicator! It just so happens that some cars use it as the hand-break light. On some cars (P) is used.
I'd check your brake fluid level pronto! They STOP comes on when it's low!
from the website, kit is £349.
Tax concession is about £30-40 (I think).
Yeah, maths says 10+ years before you break even, but there is more to it than that - petrol prices are going up, Bio-Ethanol prices (should be) coming down, more BHP from engine (attractive for me). Lots of factors to...
It's all swings-and-roundabouts with it. You do produce less CO2, so can save a bit on Tax. Yes, you get less MPG, but I get pants MPG at the moment anyway as I tend to do short journeys most of the time.
The kit I was looking at allows you to use normal petrol in it... I'm guessing you'd...
There aren't many places around - Morrisons are the only ones selling it at the moment.( http://www.bioperformanceuk.com/bioethanol_pumps.php )
Fortunatly for me, Swadlincote is right by me, so filling up isn't a problem.
And the website I was looking at - www.bioperformanceuk.com says that you...
You'll find that top pic has been painted. A tin of VHT silver paint will do you a nice job! Don't use hammerite, as it'll have burnt before you get to 3000rpm!
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has converted their Clio to Bio-Ethanol.
I've been looking into it, and it really is beginning to sound interesting. If you convert your car to run on E85 (85% Bio-ethanol, 25% unleaded), you can get a road-tax discount as it is classed as an alternative fuel type...
Hey big j
I've had a mighty big stone chip in my bonnet - black gold 182, and I've managed to find somewhere that does the paint. Basically, the paint code for black gold is 267. Company is www.auto-paint.co.uk and they make it up to order. I'm waiting for mine to come through the post (but...
One word....
CRUNCHY!
Having destroyed two gear boxes myself in my yoof, I know how it feels mate! Sorry to see that bud!
Time to go for a performance box?
GordonD - Are you sure you're not getting that mixed up with Bio-Ethanol?
LPG doesn't give as high an octane as normal petrol. It's bio-ethanol which is around the 105 RON mark. I've just been looking to it, and as the more I read about bio-ethanol, the better it sounds. REDUCED ROAD TAX! :)...
Problems with LPG is you'll be down on power.
Bio-ethanol is an alternative we should ALL consider when it becomes more available (think it's only available in London at moment). It gives MORE power and torque, AND is cheaper than regular petrol.
