This trend/fashion really does not work for me, perhaps it's only for the kids of today... I can see no benefits whatsoever and plenty of downsides :dapprove:
Well I'm here in France now (the car park outside is 90% pressed plates, even on some new cars)... I was at the supermarket today and there was a number plate shop still selling pressed plates for €35 a pair. So I'd disagree!
Me.... I have UK plates with the little GB over here, it's the...
They are fully approved for use in snow/ice, in fact in France they have the same legal approval as snow chains.... As far as grip goes, the tread rules do not make a lot of difference once the tyre is loaded with snow.
They're great, used them to get to the ski resorts instead of chains, yet to try them on the Clio though need to check they fit.
Can anyone remember the tyre width/profile on standard 200 alloys? Could save me a walk to the cold garage...

Forget the quality of the picture, I was playing with my Blackberry in my underground car park and thought I might catch a nice picture.... I was wrong :o
But I noticed something, I was behind a 197 last week and don't recall seeing the funny design reflectors captured badly in this pic! Are...
Surely the insurance of a Turbo/SC modded Clio will be more than a car that left the factory built to be aspirated? :S
My personal opinion is to only buy a car that was intended to be Turbo/SC from the factory, unless you want to throw money at the car, then engine and drivetrain reliability...
Illegal plate spacing is a shame, car looks really nice (although Cup spoiler is not my thing and is definitely a Marmite point).
The black and white Brembo pic had me confused as well, don't see why it would have been taken in grayscale, perhaps to make us all think the same :D
The description in your link says 200 Cup (the cheapest version), and the price reflects/confirms that, the picture is actually a straight 200.
No options on the advertised model either, these will bump the price up a fair bit.
The model badges changed after 6 months of the 200 being out, 09...
I'm not sure on your statistical analysis skills (now or at the time of your post), seems pretty much an even split of 200/197 to me with a relatively low biase towards the 197....:rasp:
People are forgetting the price of the options, the Cup that is £11,995 has the original RRP increased by £850 Recaros, £500 A/C, Spoiler £300..... The original list price (though not many paid this) for a car with this was around £17k not some of the figures quoted above without any options...
Surely this poll is a waste of time, it really just becomes a poll of which car has the most owners on here (for most cases)
Some of the illiteracy and text speak in here makes me not want to click the button to renew my membership :dapprove:
Am I right in thinking the Gordini doesn't actually have the Cup pack as standard? What an absolute cop out for a car name derived from a racing heritage!
