I would expect to see the movement and twitchy corrections from the camera footage if it was unsettled, there was not any that I could see?
When I used to do track days it was easily visible from in-car footage when a car was unsettled....
It is clear from the video that the Corsa is more twitchy and less sure footed in the handling dept, which is why people have made the comments above:star:
I ran the car in properly (as directed), I drive with occasional overtake and very occasional rev to the redline beeps, motorway driving is usually at a steady 80mph (i.e. the 130kph legal limit here), I ONLY run it on 98 Octane fuel. The last tank full involved maybe 10% city driving, 70%...
I'm a bit fed up of reading this, I just got 450 miles on the last tank of fuel with mixed driving, this was full tank to full tank refill and by calculation was 37mpg, the trip computer reported 35.6mpg (it always gives a slightly low value). Typically I get 35mpg+, the car has 5k miles.
I...
Thanks Robo :)
It's a doddle to fit, bonded on with no drilling, it comes with a tube of good quality bond adhesive too (even though I went out and bought Tiger Seal before delivery).
Just clean up tailgate, apply bond to spoiler underside (about 1cm away from edge) and line up before...
Nope - Mine is a straight Cup (although I did also spec A/C and Recaros)!
For the first 6 months that they were on UK shores it was possible to spec a Cup in metallic black, I think it was a £500 option (need to check my original delivery and invoice), but this changed in November 2009 when...
If you had bought a black Cup then the mirrors/door handles/side strips would have matched ;)
Colour coding the existing strips would be an option but is it worth it?
I'm a great believer in keeping it standard...
The handling of the 200 is very well viewed in standard form (at least in Cup guise). Why muck around with new suspension for the sake of looks?
Looks clean :)
Re: Cnuts with paintball guns
Just my thoughts, if one of your mates will fire at your face and not own up to it. what makes you think it wasn't one of those idiots playing a prank on your car.
I would bet 100% it was :(
t***s on both counts.
If you'd specced the Cup pack the wheels would have been anthracite and it would be slightly lower - Didn't fancy it?
I do think they look a little bulbous and naked without the rear window spoiler as well.
White with anthracite and black wheels will look great IMO :)
I don't really understand Jaff's method above for calculating his economy :S
The only real factual way is to calculate old school; fill her up, measure miles driven, refill and divide the gallons taken to refill by the miles covered, mpg simple.
As Brown Bear says the 200 trip computer does...
I had to peer through the window after spotting the Gordini badges, it had horrible blue seats and looked brand new, can't say I was greatly impressed :(
Just went to get my shopping at the local Carrefour, did my usual park a mile from the store to prevent door dings and ended up next to a Gordini RS 200 in white.
They had not gone for the Recaro seats (if this is even an option on the Gordini), or the Cup pack, and the interior looked rather...
Yep 99% is approx the bhp from PS reading, Greeny is well off the mark!
I am suprised by the original low reading and would expect high ambient air temp and humidity to be one of the factors in the low results, the 200 usually seems to make nearer quoted power than previous Clio incarnations...
