just as i posted the alarm went off. i legged it outside to stop it but the led didnt flash at all but i still got the 4 bleeps. Could this be the bonnet switch?? i really want to get to the bottom of this as renault are not interested!!!

its the standard renault fit 1?? yeah it says cobra on the back of the manual! Typical now i want the alarm to go off so i can look at the led the bloody thing isnt goin off!

just had a look an it says thats to tell me the alarm went off. the led flashes x amount of times to say why it went off. does any1 know if it stores the info till i reset it??

Right im havin major probs with my alarm at the mo! It keeps goin off all the time while the engine is coolin down after being out! I just listened and when i reset it, it bleeps 4 times. Im just gonna search for my manual but does any1 know wot this means?? Please help!!

Not sure bout the 172s but my boss used to be a renault mechanic and he always used to take the cars out for a boot and disconnect the speedo. He said when you collect the car from new and its only got say 5 miles on the clock thats cos the speedo was only connected for that many!!:o

my a/c wouldnt come on earlier an the temp outside was 0c. does ant1 know why?? the blowers werent on 100% either or they didnt sound it, i just pressumed it was cos its not bin started all week an everything was settled in the a/c system?

Yeah i saw a clio roll 3 times at 100mph and every single occupant walked away. the worst injury was something from the boot hittin the rear passenger on the back of the head! Mite be high miles? I had a 1.4 S They were just an RT but with sports seats(not buckets) and alloys and fogs etc but only a 1.4. You could try lookin for 1 of those. cheap insurance but those litle extras. Think they did a MAXIM edition too which was similar.
