Mini meet at a pub in northwich somewhere. Around 8ish.
I'm getting it done at Matt Black's (Specialist Breakers, Accrington)
£120 + VAT just for Cambelt. £60 for waterpump.
Splitter if you don't already have one.
You got anywhere sorted for your cambelt yet fella? I'm booked in for next Monday. You going the meet in Northwich tomorrow night?
Yeah the blueflame will be good. Advantage of powerflow is choosing the noise levels and tail pipes etc yourself but for custom made think I'd prefer prospeed. I want your garage!!
Like it mate, I also quite like the wolfrace ones you are on about. Something different anyway. It looks like it is already lowered as a non lowered Clio on 17's would be like a tractor!?
F1's are very good VFM in my opinion. One mate has 539's and rates them well, another thinks they're shite. Shouldn't want/need a good wet tyre unless you're tracking...asking for trouble pushing it in the wet IMO.
Where abouts are you? I personally wouldn't go to Renault, but be prepared to travel for a good specialist. It's worth it IMO.
Up north - Matt Black, Specialist breakers (Accrington) - I'm booked in for next week, bout a 45min drive but worth it IMO for a proper job.
LTR - Bury
Mids -...
It's not a big job at all. Can sometimes take a bit of time, but it's not hard.
Depends how you want to do it (springs or coilovers) and if you want it more for looks or for handling. A popular choice for srpings are Apex -40mm. These give a good look, nice height and decent handling, can be...
^Yeah, what Middo says is true, you have to go for a thick coat (i.e. spray lots and fairly close) to get a good smooth shine. If you do this a couple of times you can wet sand it then to remove any slight runs or any orange peel effect that you might get. And again as already said. Scratch X is...
ooo, nezza, your in Chester yeah? Which chipsaway guy are you using? Need some work doing on 2 cars. Could you let me know, name, location, number and that, and what you think of their work? Thanks.
Does anyone know what they like on dents?
I've not yet fella!! :(
Just finished my exams now though so will be soon. I've had a quote of £200 for colourcoding front and back bumper, spoiler and spraying the skirts so I'll be getting it done soon. Gotta get a cambelt change done first though...more money! :(
