Nick, have you got CCC from either this month or last, they are converting a metro to stockhatch racing, and they mention getting rid of the sunroof, its the issue with the three 340rs on the cover.
That electric fence one reminded me of an encounter with one. I didnt realise it was electric so i grabbed the wire to push it down to climb over it. The thing is these fences pulse. The first pulse shot into my hand, making it tense into a fist around the wire, just as im about to open my hand...
Here we go again Rob - theres nothing wrong with 99% of bikers out there, dont get pissed just cos they can cut through traffic. thats all im saying, just to add some balance.:)
Chavyboy - i saw someone do that on a GSX-R 1100 once. He stopped at the lights and there was a moment of wild flailing of feet as he realised both his shoes were attached to the pegs and the bike just went down. The thing was he was then stuck, and had to get a load of people to pick him and...
i once heard of someones third party only bike insurance going up because he had made a theft claim on the last bike he had that was knicked when he did have tpf&t. Tell me how having your bike stolen makes you more likely to crash into someone? b******s.
petes - that really made me laugh, if anyones ever seen the tin man sketch on "big train" thats the picture i have in my head now.
I once had a 205gti with one of those external sunroofs and the seal on the roof had gone missing / was crap. This wasnt really a problem as it was summer and you...
ah. i hadnt actually thought about locking nuts before. i live in a fairly low crime area, but i suppose its one of those cheapish things youll really regret not buying. ive got phase 1 alloys at the moment which have a kind of locking centre cap, but im thinking of not carrying a spare if i get...
I have the same problem, im gonna take it to a guy locally, but aparently it could be a cut out and re-weld job, ill have to try and get it sorted asap cos i dont want it to be.
plenty of people on here have got aftermarket alloys on their cars, so heres a question - what do you do with the old ones? i havent thought of anywhere i can keep them. does every one sell them?
What do people do with the spare?
Theres alot of info on this, its a common problem. do a search and check out all the different opinions, im leaving mine, its been doing it without any problems since i bought the car.
s4, thats the one i was thinking of. there all pretty cool actually, id forgotten about all the different lancia coupe rally cars. nice cars, the stratos had the engine from a ferrari dino.
best bet is probably to go somewhere like bedford autodrome, cos its specially made for it, no gravel traps or armco, then running without insurance is less of a risk
Mine was ridiculously filthy (general road grime, then i got lost down some farm tracks). It was brown all over. Im not using it at the moment so i left it on my mums drive, when i went round there a few days later shed cleaned it!:o
shes one of those people thats obsessed with cleaning, and...
Most cars (the modern ones i work on anyway) have a reinforcement panel that runs around the sunroof, i dont know if the old valver had one. its a kind of corregated panel that makes up for the strength lost by having a big hole in the roof. This is part of the reason why sunroofs are such a bad...
