Only if you're fully comp. It then becomes equivalent to you having an accident on your own from a financial point of view - he claims to fix his car, you can decide not to claim if you want to keep your NCB although you still have to declare the accident.
I like how you glossed over my posts.
Read them. Basically Renault CANNOT service them in-house, therefore cannot suggest you service them because that requires them to say where you have them serviced. That then leads them to legal issues with recommending somewhere and becoming liable for...
Yep - it's just that if Company A who you are paying for a service from recommends you to Company B for any work, any failings as a result of work carried out by Company B can be held against Company A. For a small independant this isn't so much of an issue as typically people who use these are...
Then they become liable for any issues that arise with the suspension prior to this interval - much like you can claim a contributory amount for a cambelt failure at 4yrs and 45,000 miles if your servicing record is up to scratch, because Renault told you that it should last 5 years and 60,000...
Yep, but then when I'm buying a car one thing I check for is:
Cost of service - both minor and major.
Cost of tyres.
Cost of clutch.
Cost of suspension dampers.
Cost of a complete engine.
You've got to know those things in order to know whether you can afford to run a car! I'd say it was...
TBH, I can't justify Nehalem at the moment. My idea of what I'm going to do is the FoxConn X48/DDR3 £80mobo (reduced from £250!) and a decent 775 Quad, and a nice new pair of 5870 Radeons...
Rest of my kit is great!
But you'd be b**ching if the Trophy had standard suspension, and you'd not have bought a Trophy if someone had told you "Every so often (we're not sure, just when it breaks) you'll have to spend £600 to fix the front suspension".
So, again, what are they supposed to do? Suspension wears out on...
Well, as they're motorsport units you rebuild them every couple of races or every season depending on what category you're racing in. As you've quite aptly demonstrated, getting them rebuilt every 16,000 miles is a waste because yours lasted 45,000, however getting them rebuilt every 45,000...
Insurance shouldn't be that much more, if any at all? Similar quotes for me on a 182 and a Trophy.
Gwan... You've got until someone else takes it off my hands :P
Screen capture. Lock button and the main button on the front at the same time, saves it to your camera roll.
PM me a link or I'll hunt you down for using my advice to your own benefit. Lol.
You know, with selling the cars the one that I've actually shed a tear for is the Trophy. It's the one that put me back on my feet, and got me messing with cars again. The Exige is a great track weapon, but the Trophy was so much more fun on the road.
f**k, I'll miss it.
Get a train down to Warwick, I'll take you out round Leamington and get you in bed with some college slit and in the morning I'll take you out round the back roads...
I'm after £8.5k with the BTB and all the dents sorted and whatnot, but for forum users who have these contacts anyway, £7,750 would do me.
Bearing in mind I paid £7,500 for it a couple of months ago (tops!) and subsequently spent nearly £3,000 to get it perfect...
