Haha you've just described exactly what I would do with it from a visual perspective. I may look into it, seeing as I could sell all those bits on in the future anyway without a huge price decline. The alloys need refurbing too, and yeah I'd probably go for anthracite. Damn, don't get me all...
Thanks Luke.
I've considered doing some stuff but I'm not sure any performance mods are too worthwhile. Especially to get any noticeable gains would likely set me back a fair whack. I figure it's better just to keep saving away for a 182.
All I've done is have it colour coded, which makes it...
Nope not really sure tbh. Perhaps I'm thinking wrong. I'll have to pay attention later when I'm going down the dual. :o
Yeah they were. I barely use them. They go crazy when I'm not even close to what's behind me when I reverse haha.
Yeah petrol. Ermm I barely do any motorway miles so not really cruising at 70 that much. Ermm 70 is probably around 4-4.5 k revs, feels nice and comfortable and still has a nice bit more push from there.
Check this thread out for the cleaning stuff, saves me typing again hehe...
Disel Zetec S's?
A lot of people rave about them over at ZSOC. Remap and there supposed 2 be awesome. I wish I'd got one just for the hugely better MPG haha.
My friends got a white ST and it is a great car. They almost seem a bit too serious to me, I think the 182 seems a bit more crazy and sporty! The ST's can be tuned / modded quite well though. A Mountune 185 ST would be pretty damn sweet! But then you're looking at way more than a 182 in...
Looks awesome. The wheels are teh_sex!
Appreciating the detailing side of things too seeing as I have OCD on that kinda stuff heh. May have to check out one of those drying towels, looks really good.
They are great to drive, and when you've got a few turns and roundabouts you can give much faster cars a run for their money with some good / tactical driving. (Tactical being when you move out to the far lane before they have a chance and box them in, hehe).
For more power I could get a ST...
Hey guys,
I'm on here all the time lately. I've always had a soft spit for Clio Sport's, but sadly have been put off by insurance premiums. I'm nearly 23 with plenty of driving experience, just a bit of an unlucky driving history so far.
I do have a years NCB now though finally haha.. so I'm...
Hey guys. Not much of a poster round here, but been a huge fun of RS Clio's for ages.
I've been offered a really clean example of a 172 cup light weight model.
Currently I drive a Mk6 Fiesta Zetec S which I guess has a lot more modern features, with air con, ABS etc.
I'm a bit of a n00b...
@Bazzon: Yeah you're right. Well I could just save up so I could buy a car and a year's insurance out-right..
Or Just get a lower engine size Clio and try work up some NCB etc..
Well..best deal I can find is around £2200.
Thats fully comp on a 182 Cup. I've got 4 points on my license for SP30 (speeding basically), 0 NCB and a claim recently.. So i guess that's all increased it a lot.
Guess I'll need to save some more if i really want one :D
@DrRollo: Thanks a lot! Perhaps it won't be as bad as I'm expecting but yeh you're right, only one way to find out! Your £900 was fully comp?
@AlexG: Thanks for the advice, again will have a good look round!
Hey guys..
Despite being a massive fan of the Clio, I can't say I have a huge background of information on them, specifically insurance wise..
I've just had my normal 1.2 Clio deemed uneconomic to repair and called a write off, despite me being the victim of poor driving from somebody else...
