they should shine through ok? have you tried at night? they aint V bright but you should be able to see it.
i think i might have removed an orange piece of plastic from inside but cant really remember now
depending on whats broken you might be able to 'jam' it in place, on mine the tabs nearest the handbrake (call it the bottom) are broken, so i tucked the bottom under the tab that sticks out of the centre console and pushed the top down on the top clip, that was 3 months ago its been fine ever...

as said 50 ish quid is the going rate, id look to get them powder coated not just resprayed, longer lasting finish
lol no i meant the wheel nut torque wasnt something to worry about, id get the balance checked as its easy and cheap, defo sounds sensible, other than that id ask a garage i guess :S
over tight wheel nuts wont cause the shaking though will it? as long as they are nipped up tight i wouldnt worry bout that, if the only difference is the spacers then as said must be that

ah i wondered because i got mine there too, instructions are great except for the switches lol! i ended up snipping them near the top and soldering a join instead of trying to get the bottom
where did you get the SMD/LEDs? as said it's long legged LEDs in the control strip and is pretty easy compared to the dash panel, o and replacement broken bit from a scrappys for about 5-10 quid

cam belt kit (which includes the plugs btw) 90-110
aux belt (not a kit, mines is a cup) 10-15
we were something like 2 hours to do it, but then included cups of tea and yapping lol
