i fitted my springs yesterday and was expecting at least a 30mm drop all round (it says up to 50mm on the front!) but the fronts are only about 20mm lower and the rears look the same. wots going on? do they go down after a while or something?
mine is now making awful noise around 2k and then at 3k up to 4k revs. have contacted ktec and will hopefully be sorted soon. could try and get a sound clip but using a digi camera to record video wont give very good sound quality - it basically sounds like a tinny metallic rattling noise coming...
so you think its def the centre section faulty? i honestly cannot see any part of the system touching the heat shield... Il send ktec an email. will they replace it?
where does it sound like its coming from-middle or back? im gonna hav to do the same i reckon, its just impossible to have a good ol look underneath without a lift!
i have had my k-tec stealth fitted for around a month and a half and have just started to get a nasty rattling noise coming from (i think) the centre section. i had tried to push it all up a bit the other day cos its never been completely hidden and it seemed fine. next day i drove to work and...
my jvc head unit has started popping off by itself whilst i have been driving and it turns out the plastic part on the inside of the face panel which clips on to a hook to hold it in place has broken so it wont stay locked. its so annoying cos i spent quite a bit of money on it and now have to...
can someone post up some pics of their car if it has colour coded fogs. also how do you remove this part from the bumper (guessin you gotta take the whole bumper off as it looks really tight behind it)
yeh excellent guide. is there specific primer for plastic? also does it make a big difference wot colour is used - i would have thought a white undercoat will give a better finish with a light blue basecoat? also the splitter is very textured so should it be rubbed down loads or just primed more?
also what is the procedure - guessing id have to rub down the plastic, prime (white or grey?) then main colour then laquer... can sum1 give me some advice on this. Cheers!
does anyone have any pics of a Cup with mondial blue splitter...im thinking of cc mine to match the car - just not sure if its a good idea cos my old one (which is now in 3 pieces!) did have scuffs underneath and im guessing stone chips could be a problem...
bigger bore piping will improve exhaust gas flow which will give gains...maybe not much but it will. decat etc is good upgrade for the money too! reckon if you take your motor on a track you would see a difference, not so much everyday driving
