Washing up liquid will be fine if worked in with a stiff brush and a decent jet wash.
As said, always jack both sides up so the other isn't working against you.
I'm currently looking at my options with the Clio and have, god forbid LOL suggested replacing it with an Impreza.
I wuld love to keep it but need more pace. aving been a member of Migweb for years, alot of the guys n there fit bike carb's or TB's t their C20's.
What would the costs involved...
A mate has just picked his Impreza up today so we were having a poke around.
We were joking about the size of the scoop and sucking things up when we spotted this:
Baked Guinea fowl anyone?
Already got Sportlines, Strut brace (for what it's worth), DS2500's etc so I don't think much else needs doing.
Let's say it's worth £3500, would a £3500 Saxo be any better?
As the Clio will become a second car very shortly due to the arrival of my company car, I have a number of options.
I want a second car to maintain my no claims and some fun!
The Clio is a 2002 full fat with 62k. I paid £6400 for it 3 years ago & would guess it's worth about £3500 plus £1000...
If I put my car in for an MOT a month early and it fails, can I still see out my original MOT or is my car deemed un-roadworthy from that date and will no longer be driveable?
Evening guys,
I've managed to find a picture of the stub axle spacer I need. Can someone check Dialogys to see if a part number is listed?
The car is a 2002 172.
It's the N/S rear stub axle/hub spacer.
I've worked out why my Clio keeps killing bearings, i'm missing a section of the spacer at the end of the stub axle. See below.
The good side:
The bad side:
As you can see, the central section of this spacer has disappeared so the bearing is around 1/4" further down the stub axle...
Evening Justin,
That's a pic' from Fubars site although i'm 99% certain that the last time I rebuilt mine, there was a very similar looking spacer on the stub axle.
Following on from this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=331193, this little bad boy is what is causing my headaches I think.
I can't remember if I binned the original when I first changed my bearing. Can these be bought/replaced and which way around should it be fitted?
