    Noisy top end when warm

Mine does this and has done ever since I've had it. No issues with it. The knocking sounds more ominous. Also sounds like a roller is worn or the power steering pump is on its last legs as there appears to be a whirring which rises with rev's.

    Tesco/Asda APC?

Just been reading about these. Just to be sure I buy the right stuff, they're in a large, rectangular, flat bottle. Usually lemon fragranced? The Asda one I have in the cupboard is called Multi Surface Cleaner and has dilution instructions on the back? Sound right?

Best thing for removing SRP from black trim?

Some nice 'alternative' solutions here. Like it. I'll buy myself the necessary & give it a go. Cheers.

Best thing for removing SRP from black trim?

Yep, lasts about a week on mine. Tried that and all results were vague hence the post. Thanks for the advice.

Best thing for removing SRP from black trim?

I let the £7.00 Pikeys loose on the Clio for the first time since May at the weekend. The problem with a poor wash is that all of spattered on SRP is left showing on the black trims making them look grey. I fancy a good cleaning session next week but want to do a proper job. Any ideas?

What tyres for my 172 ?

S-Drives? I have these and they're great. I had 4 fitted for £180. They wear very well and the grip in both wet and dry is excellent. Look good too...

    Shall I get shot?

I'll sell it to Naith. It's the one that tried to rape him @ RS Tuning! I would love to build something but I don't have the space with my current house. Plus, I think I'd only enjoy the build of a kit car as the cars themselves don't really appeal. Charles, my heart says that but I can't...

    Sold a Grey import?!?

A 172 would never have had a splitter. And the L.E.D would indicate an alarm thrown in by a Monkey at the docks. That's normally what indicates a UK along with the etched windows.

    172ff v rx-8 (231)

In the corners, the RX8 would be gone but in a straight, a poorly driven RX-8 would be easy pickings. My (midly modified- granted) 172 was quicker than my mates 230. Although his nickname was Gay Tony so it may indicate that he's a Mincer and he can't drive!

    Shall I get shot?

T'is true but I begrudge spending money on it ie. coilovers etc. as I know i'll never see that money again and someone else could take the hit for me. Plus, I can't helping thinking that something with a turbo would be much cheaper & easier to get massive speed from. Evo' 8 keeps calling.

    Shall I get shot?

I've been contemplating this for ages and I can't decide which way to go. I'll be ordering my company car in the next couple of weeks which will be a Golf GT TDI. I was originally going to sell the Clio as I thought it was worth buttons but having looked on Ebay, Pistonheads etc, it looks like...

Sod Itunes Mike. Use MediaMonkey. You'll still need to have Itunes installed but it allows you to drill deeper into the Iphone.

Got Bored So Added This !

I'll buck the trend and say it looks shat. It reminds me of a white wall tyre & the lack of centre caps make it look even worse.

Anyone ever stripped a thread on a wheel bolt

Yep. I hade a pair of sapcers which slipped. As I undid the bolts, one was being held in situ by the slipped spacer unbeknown to me. I carried on 'undoing' until I realised. Thankfully I managed to re-cut the thread on the hub.

    Whirring/squealing when shoeing it?

It only happens when I give it real beans. If i'm just moseying there isn't a whiff of it. I did think it may be an idler pulley as it is due a cambelt change soon but I can feel the rumble through the wheel. It must be drivetrain related.

I already have both cam and aux' belt kits, Do you think he would he fit these as you're not too far away. I have been quoted £300 just for fitting in the past.
